    Thumbs down Meru Cabs

    Hello all
    I had booked for a Meru cab from my residence in Rajarajeshwari Nagar to BIAL on the 13 Sept 2010 for 14 Sept 0800 Hrs @ 21.08. recieved a confirmation ref number 515771 @ 21:13 on the same day.
    14 September there was no update from Meru Services . Despite repeated calling there is no update from the customer service except for the fact they cite they have technical issues. My flight is scheduled to depart at 1025 Hrs and knowing Bangalore traffic i know how it is to travel.
    Finally the cab turns at my door after 30 minutes delay and does not have the MDT ( meter ) functional. In order to make up for the time loss and my flight thr drivers generally drive rashly putting the passenger life and others on the road to Danger. I have instructed the driver to be slow even if I were to miss the flight because i dont think it is required to put life in danger to make in time for the flight.
    How are to we rely on such services? and possibly there must be a mechanism to claim compensation from Meru if one misses his flight. In any case they must be pulled for defecient service and i stand to be compensated

    Default Meru bad experience

    My name is Aayush Agrawal.and i am frequent user of MERU services.But for the first time this week i had an unpleasant experience with meru I made a request for meru cab 1 day prior on 6 th december .the cab was supposed to reach my pick up location(thane) at 8.30 in the morning.my booking was confirmed last night itself.
    next day i was waiting for my cab when i received a call from meru at 8.15 .it was a regret call and i was told that the service could not be offered to me at the scheduled time and that the cab would reach my pickup location at 9.45 at earliest .i protested but to no effect.In the end i had to give up as i had no alternative standby arrrangements.and i asked the caller to confirm the new booking at 9.45 or before if possible.
    the cab reached at around 9.40 .immeditely boarded it.but no way i was going to reach at 11.00 which was 40 minutes prior to my departure time @11.40.i reach the airport at 11.15 and by that time the checkin counter had closed .i missed my flight .i called up the meru and made a complaint regarding this .but till date i have not received any call from meru .

    I hold meru completely responsible for the flight miss and causing financial loss and harassment to me.though the harrasment cannot be quantified and reimbursed, i would request the company to pay for the financial loss which includes cancellation charges of 1500 and the differnce amount of the new ticket
    the total financial loss will be around 4500.
    Inspite of repeated follow ups ,there has been no replyfrom MERU team.this is customer Service at its worst.thumbs down to MERU.

    Default No Show!!!

    Hello!

    I had booked for a Meru Cab online @www.merucabs.in on 25 Dec 2010 at 10:07 AM from my residence in Bhandup, Mumbai to Navi Mumbai for 25 Dec 2010 at 5:30 PM. I even received the confirmation reference number 2542840 both on my email as well as on my mobile just a moment after the booking was confirmed. The SMS clearly states that I should have received the cab details 30 mins prior to pick-up time. I didn't hear back from Meru Cabs till 5:15 PM and so I called them at that time.

    I was shocked to hear then that the booking stands canceled due to non availability of cabs. This meant that I did miss out on a very important social engagement. The minimum Meru cabs should have done was intimate me well in advance. That's all. I would have made some alternative arrangements.

    And all the person on the phone could tell me that he was sorry for the inconvenience caused but he could not arrange any taxi. No effort was made even then to provide any relief.

    Meru Cabs has lost all its credibility and reliability, at least for me.
    No one should trust them, specially in matters of importance. Least reliable.
