Today, the taxi and rickshaw fares are about to go up by 2 Rupees. I dont really care if they do it, i will happily pay 2 rupees extra. But what has been bothering me since a year is, these drivers dont want to give u a ride for short distances. They will go on a strike for a fare hike, but what about people like us!
Short distances are such that, if u walk it takes around 20-25 mins and if u take a taxi its not even 10 mins. Since they have decided to hike the basic fare, they are still refusing to go for a distance which comes within the basic fare. What can be done in such a scenario, strip them off their permit!!? I doubt even if most of them work with a permit.
My Aim is to utilize the legal system to generate profit for the Government..
If anyone knows how to tackle this situation and to get back against these lousy taxi drivers, please let me know
