I had a confirmed ticket from Bengaluru to Mumbai on that day with teh flight departing at 9:40 pm from Bangalore(as mentioned in E-Ticket) but when I called the airlines on 7th Dec, 2010 at 5:30 PM I was informed that the flight was scheduled to leave at 8:20 PM. I was not informed either by Air India or Cleartrip regarding the change in departure time. For your kind information the Bus travel from Bangalore City to Airport takes 3 hours(if the traffic is less) so in no way I could have boarded the flight. When I called again to the Cleartrip Customer care(Executive name: Mr Adil) I was informed by the executive that it is a fault from the Air India airlines and I would be refunded fully the amount without any deductions so going by the Cleartrip executive suggestion I cancelled the flight and had to rebook another flight which costed me higher than what i had booked earlier(new booking was done with GoAir airlines). After almost 1 and a half month of following Cleartrip's false promises of delivering the refund amount I got a call from the Cleartrip customer care on 14th Dec, 2010 saying that I will not be refunded the full amount and Rs 500 would be deducted as teh Air India sources told that i had choosen the alternative option. On asking that what was teh alternative option the cleartrip customer care executive had no answer as to what she meant by alternative option. I felt harassed more when i said that i would file a consumer case regarding this and was being answered promptly by the cleartrip customer care executive that it would be of no use. This is really disgusting and embarassing being a citizen of India(democracy is being preached here) and someone who just laughs at the democratic judgement. I have been at the wrong end as in this case I am the sufferrer without any fault of mine and if being asked I can provide teh full proof of it. I just ask for justice at this point fo which i will get relieved from thi mental agony being caused by Cleartrip.
