    Default Club Mahindra complaint

I joined club Mahindra after a lot of coaxing from their rep called Asif (never traceable after that) in 2009 with first payment being made in Aug 2009. Thereafter regular payments being taken including their annual subscription in Feb 09. The amounts taken were to complete the entire membership amount for red studio in one year & so were huge.
However I tried booking twice at their resorts- all I got was rooms not available -even a month in advance. They say you have to book 06 months in advance which i think is ridiculous. Realizing that this club Mahindra holiday system is oversubscribed & not going to suit my busy committed schedule ever, I asked to cancel my membership & refund my money wef frm Mar 2010. Shocking was that they refused & this Asif guy had said at the beginning of the contract that if I am not happy within the first one year I would be refunded my money. How can a business house extort anyone this way without providing ANY facility whatsoever-free or otherwise.
Also at the time of my joining Red was the top season . And now they have a PURPLE one. Sad part is that they still can`t even provide for the red one.I WANT MY MONEY BACK.They have withheld my payments beyond March 2010,however refuse to refund!

Angry Horrible experience with Club Mahindra

I am a red studio member since Jan 2010. Booking holidays have been the most frustrating experience for us for the last two years, and we have not been able to utilize the 7+7 =14 days accrued to us over these two years. Why? Because everytime and anytime we call them, there is a stock reply that rooms are not available. In whichever resort we want. We literally have to beg and plead. At times the customer agent gets back with totally irrelevant dates. We wanted to book for winter season 2010 – all resorts we wanted were unavailable months in advance. We had to waste hours and hours on phone with the customer agents pleading for some solution. They will say something which doesn’t match with the on-line system – so I don’t know if there is something fishy in the reservation system that the agents or the company hold on to some bookings to be released to favoured parties or complaining parties when they want to. The whole matter is extremely opaque, frustrating and has to be escalated to consumer authorities.

We feel that lakhs of rupees have just gone down the drain, and we have been foolish to invest this money attracted by the great Mahindra name and by heavy advertising.

Today July 16 2011 we wanted to book a holiday anytime for the next six months in Goa – astonishingly everything is sold out!! They said bookings have started from July 1 – so six months in advance if CM cannot give assurance of a holiday plan, then what have we invested in! If their capacity is so inadequate why are they selling more and more subscriptions now – don’t they have the courtesy to plan their capacity, number of resorts, number of members so that their existing customers get a fair chance?? I am assuming the company is straight-forward in making the pre-bookings, which is also in doubt and it is quite possible that they show everything booked and then release bookings later, for some hidden benefits.

Club Mahindra is turning out to be a fraudster, and if they don’t come out clean or get their acts together then within no time their name and brand equity will be rolling in the muck.

Angry Club Mahindra- Cancellation & refund of Membership fees

Club Mahindra is a farce and they want to loot common people by offering such schemes where the rooms are not available even with advance bookings and they go on making the members so that people do not have any other option but to utilize accrued holiday points only at odd timings.
I had become a member by paying Rs 27,500.00 as booking amount and within a months time, I had asked them to cancel the Booking and arrange for refund but then they have regretted to refund the amount. If a person has not used the services then Club Mahindra should not have any problem in refunding the booking amount and if required they can charge a nominal amount for the processing fee, similar to the case of IRCTC when we cancel the rail tickets.
I will advise each and every one to be very cautious and do not fall prey to their schemes as their objective is to make money by hook or crook. The Sales person collect their incentives by making a fool of common person.
We should all take up the matter with Govt body of Consumer Forum.

Thanks a lot for the response but then you will please appreciate that since I have not utilized any services of Mahindra, you should refund the entire amount with out any deduction.
Let me reiterate that in case, I do not get the amount of Rs 27,500.00 refunded within 7 days here of, I shall have no other option but refer the case to Consumer Forum.
