I visited Kinnaur in H.P last year during puja with the most pathetic experience of travelling one can have with a travel agent named APANJAN TOURS (managed by Saikat Chowdhury).That person cheated from the day one of meeting him.Firstly,he din't buy our train tickets which we discovered after reaching howrah on the date of journey,then they left without us leaving us behind at howrah station,and we at the expense of our valuable time,energy and a lot of money(approx 30000) and lots more followed them on rajdhani express the following day to shimla.At shimla we caught them,and had our tour completed any how.He lied to others about us that we din't make any payments etc, apart from this, they gave us foods like given to prisoners behind the bars,hotels like slums.I want that person to be punished for cheating public to this extent.

Another pathetic experience this year with another not so known and popular travel agent PANWAYS managed by PRABIR SINHA ROY i had in the past two weeks in ARUNACHAL-ASSAM tour. They took a lot of money compared to other famous travel agents almost 14250/- rs per person without any train food and all.On the day of our arrival to guwahati they started showing their real face by hiring some prehistoric aged TATA SUMO cars which started breaking down one after another while returning from kamakhya darshan,they promised to take us to TIRUPATI BALAJI temple & Basistha asram,but that bloody drivers argued with us and dint' take us there.I believe the culprit tour manager APURBA CHAKRABORTY taught them to do this.Then on the next day on the way to TEZPUR those preserved-in-the-musuem type cars again started to prove their worth by frequent tyre punctures,breaking down something,detachment of some spares from the cars and a lot of other troubles .It resulted in reaching the destination quite later than expected even we reached some of the hilly destinations at midnight...unthinkable.Especially, on the day of going tawang from tenga(never heard this name before,every travel agents of kolkata keep their tourists either at bomdila or dirang)our cars broke down several times and even 4-5 hrs were taken to repair them,we had our luch in the evening.we were driven on sela pass at night and recahed twang at 1 a.m in midnight,with our tour manager's car with our luggages left behind.we were stuck in our cars.Then some old ladies got down from the cars and selfishly ocuupied the rooms which we had our booking of resulting in we sitting on the sofa with a 5 yrs old child all shivering in freezing cold with not so many woolens because of missing luggages.all the families found their rooms in two hotels named ANNAPURNA and DUNGPHU in tawang except we (a family of five including one 5 yr child)sitting on the sofa till 10 a.m in the morning while our worthless and fraud manager APURBA arrived with the luggage van showing lots of lame excuses for his late coming,that coward manager even was not able to provide us the suite room panways (prabir sinha roy)informed me two months back over phone.Those ladies were so shameless and selfish that they din't listen to apurba and ours.Finally we had to compromise and adjust in three bedded room in DUNGPHU HOTEL for two nights.Again they din't take us for the sightseeing in tawang which we arranged on our own.Then on the second day they told us to take to BUMLA PASS,which thay din't rather took us to a pond like lake named madhuri lake in spite of lot's of fake promise.The dhaba type where they provided us food from in tawang was the worst i have seen so far.The khana was bakwaas types which no one can eat.From guwahati they stopped giving us evening snacks in spite of this is clearly mentioned in the itinerary.Then we came back to tenga at 4 a.m in the midnight due to a landslide the uncountable no of times the cars' breaking down.Another thing tobe mentioned the driver of our cars,they were so rude,teetotaler to the core one can't think.They left us in the queue in the landslide area at night at went toa dhaba to sleep with blankets after drinking like mad.When we tried to wake them up they misbehaved with us and threatened to pushing us down from the hills..unbelievable.Then they used to stop the cars anywhere may be on the middle of the road and went somewhere to dring the cameback after a couple of hours.This way when we recahed tenga with nothing in our body,nobody from the hotel opened the doors naturally,all were sleeping.When they opened the gate we came to know all of the our room which we stayed in while going to tawang have been given to others and we had to adjust like 4 persons ina single bed room,5 persons(we) in a double bed room like this.The tour manager was a feminine personnothing he could tell us in front of others.This way when we came to kaziranga,we came to know it was closed ,so most of our investted money went into loss,no jeep safari neither elephnat safari they organizednot even the joyrides.Then they took us to ORANG forest for which they took us 1000/- rs extra .We found that it was also closed.FRAUD TO THE EXTREME.One car there got stuck there due to serious problems of wheels which took almost 3 hrs to repair and then after drivers' uncountable no of breaks we arrived guwahati at 8 p.m when neither we could do some sightseeing nor any shopping.To my greatest surprise they din't even organized a feast which is organized by every travel agents on the last day of trip.FRAUD,FRAUD,CHEAT and play with the hard earned money,energy and lots more this the MAIN PURPOSE OF THESE TRAVEL AGENTS LIKE PANWAYS,APANJAN TOURS.These agencies SHOULD BE BANNED IMMEDIATELY AND THE PEOPLE BEHIND THESE SHOULD BE PUNISHED STRICTLY.

I am a bit surprised to find these comments about a 'apanjan tours' . May be the expectation of the traveller was too high to be reasonably met. The tour tariff charged by ' Apanjani'. is quite competitive and comfort level provided by them is reasonably good for the Bengali middle class tourists. I had the experience of travelling with 'Apanjan' to Himachal(kalpa- kinnur) last year. I was highly satisfied with that value -for -money trip. In future, if I get opportunity, I would love to travel with them.

Last year I visited Sikkim (12th Oct-20 th Oct 2010) with APANJN and i was highly satisfied.Our team manager was Chanchal & Gatait.Both of them were very good.They provide us very good hotels and food.Even my 5yrs old son asked for chicken in dinner at Lachung and I got surprissed that Chanchal arranged for it in Lachung.The rooms are alloted to us by lottery basis.There are mixed quality rooms.But all are on an average good.Even in sumo there are only 8 people (including my son), and the journey was quite comfortable. Some tourist always try to get homely comfort while touring which is not possible all the time.I think it is better for those people to stay at home and enjoy homely atmosphere .I would like to make another trip with APANJAN in future.

THEY ARE THE BIGGEST FRAUD,BEWARE OF THEM.PROPRIETOR SAIKAT CHOWDHURY IS A CHEATER TO SUCH A LEVEL WHICH ONE CAN't EVEN IMAGINE.They will attract you comparatively lower package cost and teach you the lesson farther during trip.So,if you want to enjoy your vacation never travel with them,your tour will be spoilt totally.

I am Pradeep from Nayak Travels, Mysore. This is regarding a fraud travels named Sam Travels in madurai. I was contacted by a women named Sumithta who claimed to be the M.D of Sam travels,Madurai. She told me to book one tempotraveller vehicle for 5 days from 22nd may 2011 till 26 may 2011. She told me that she is booking a customizes package for 13 persons to visit Mysore, Coorg, Somanathpur etc and she also confirmed the same over email. I called her on 20th to confirm the booking and she didnt received my call till that afternoon, when i tried her with a different mobile she picked the call and when i introduced myself she told me that she is in a hospital and so she was not answering my call, she also told me that their customers are coming on 22nd by train and we have to pick them from there. On 21st i called her to get the mobile no of the passengers so that it will be easier to pick them, but again she didnt received my call. I tried her till mid night but she didnt answer my call. I thought she might be in a hospital and i called her again on 22nd but she didnt picked the call. I sent the vehicle to the railway station thinking that at least they might show up but they didnt.

I think she had called only to fool travel agency like ourself and its only a fun for her. She had a email id travels_sam@yahoo.com and had called me with he mbl no 08825581331. My only request is to punish these fraud travel agents so that they do not fool anyone again.
