I wish to complain against the total negligence and lackdaisical attitude of Sachin Travels.
My wife had underatken a 14 day tour to Europe (TE-2) which left Mumbai on 24th July 2011 and returned on 7th August 2011.
My wife had booked as a single tourist and had joined the tour as a known couple was also going.
I had made all the payments as directed by the tour operator, who had the full knowledge that my wife was alone and I had been repeatedly been asking them whether they have found someone who could sahre the hotel room.
Even on the day of departure when I spoke to them I was not informed that they could not find a partner.
When the party arrived in London on their first stop, my wife was given the shock that she will have to share the room with the couple known to her. She protested that how could they do such a thing without the prior permission of the couple or herself.
The guide said his hands were tied and that only the Mumbai office could arrange separate room for her against full payment of Rs 31141/ as the charge for single occupancy(14 nights). This amount was to be paid in advance. When she could contact me in India after 3 days, I was surprised at the casual way the thing was being handled by Sachin Travels.
i had a heated argument with a senior officer at sachin's Mumbai who was adaamne that it was pirely my mistake and that while booking for the tour I should have made the payment for single occupancy. I argued with him that noone from his office told me so and in fact i was all the while checking it and was ainformed that I would be informed if my wife would have to stay alone and that I should make the payment.
He also confirmed that after the tour is over, I would get partial refund since my wife stayed in single room for only 6 days and the additional charhge that I was forced to pay was for 14 night occupancy i.e the entire duration of the tour.
I informed the person that even Sachin's website does not mention about such a condition but he refused to take any action without my apyment. Even though it was a Saturday, I immediately transferred the whole amount via net banking.
After 2 days my wife was given single accommodation.
For the last 3 months I have sent several mails and made phone calls to Sachin Tarvels and spoke to the same officer who is only making promises but no action on my refund.
I am not able to speak to Mr Jakatdar the owner since the office will neither give his telephone number or e-mail address.
I request you take up strongly with an agency that has no repect for the customers nor has any decency to talk properly to their clients.
I seek your help in getting my rightful dues with interst since thay need to be punished for their misdemeanour and the harrasment they have caused to my wife , the obliging couple who shared the room with my wife.
