I am a tourist from Orissa. I came to Bangalore for sight seeing. I hired a taxi from Spot City Taxi on 13/6/10 (Sunday) and went from Sarjapur Road/Bellandur to Nandi hills and came back in the same taxi (Indica A/C - KA-05-AA-8062).Total distance covered to and fro was 198 kms. The taxi charged me Rs.2376/- i.e. @ Rs.12/- per k.m.(vide their receipt no. 108823 dated 13/6/10)

This rate of Rs.12/- is quite unusual as the normal rate every where including Chennai is Rs,6/-. I talked to their office over phone. Some lady members who attended the phone in their office insisted on my paying Rs.2376/- @ Rs.12/- per K.M.

They told, within the city, this is the charge. but Nandi hill is far away (about 100 kms) from Bellandur. I do not understand what logic they have applied to fix this exorbitant rate. Is it not exploitation of the tourists ?
