Dear Sir/ Madam,

I had booked for hotel accommodation with Hotel Sahyadri using the online booking service of Travel Guru. The booking was for 31st Dec, 11 done on 22-Oct-11. Travel guru confirmed availability of room and I paid the amount of Rs.2,867/-. I contacted the Hotel Sahyadri on 25th Dec for informing them of my arrive time at Hotel. After discussion I was shocked to know that they had informed Travel guru for regret for hotel booking due to hotel tariff issue and this was never intimated after booking was done on 22-Oct’11. Also the officials at Hotel Sahyadri replied that there is no room booked in my name and no vacancy even after Travel guru accept new tariff rate. I checked up with Travel Guru again over phone, and they again confirmed that I need not to worry and inform as my hotel is booked however this compliant is being forwarded to concern person of Travel Guru who looks after Alibaug related booking and he will revert back with 24Hr to resolve this issue.

I don’t know now what to do as it seems that entire trip plan has been spoiled due to such nonsense services ? I feel that I have been cheated. I need my booking money back with interest.
I will take-up this issue with consumer court to ensure that such service based organization should be closed down to avoid such malfunction in future. I attach herewith the confirmation given by Travel Guru with reference number (Hotel booking ID. TGU0000575389 for Alibaug for 31st Dec'11).

Had I not checked up with Hotel Sahyadri on 25th Dec, I might have had a horrible tour experience as I might end up packing on the same day or may have to settled for some cheap hotels to stay with my family. This is absolutely ridicules services by Travel Guru and I will ensure that prompt action should be taken so that such cheatings against people should not happen in future.
