I made booking with GOIBIBO on 9th Novemner 2010 through netbanking. My account was debited, however the booking status was showing awaiting confirmation from airline. The next day I was infotmed that the booking could not go through since airlines system was down and the price now are higher by Rs. 9000. So I asked them to cancel the booking. Immediately, after cancelling the ticket, I checked the GOIBIBO website and the price quoted for the same sector was still the same, original price. Then I realised that this is definitely a fraud.
At the time of cancellation I was told that I will get the refund in 7 to 10 days. It is 7 days since the date cancellation, I have still not received the money back and neither the confirmation mail from IBIBO to give the refund.
Total amount to be refunded is Rs 33,003. Mails sent to the customer care are bouncing.
Please take the issue with GOIBIBO travels, to do the needful.
