    Default GO IBIBO - refund not received against failed booking

    Ref: IBIBO complaint no.605929 Travel booking id :FMN0BD8DA16

    I made booking with GOIBIBO on 9th Novemner 2010 through netbanking. My account was debited, however the booking status was showing awaiting confirmation from airline. The next day I was infotmed that the booking could not go through since airlines system was down and the price now are higher by Rs. 9000. So I asked them to cancel the booking. Immediately, after cancelling the ticket, I checked the GOIBIBO website and the price quoted for the same sector was still the same, original price. Then I realised that this is definitely a fraud.

    At the time of cancellation I was told that I will get the refund in 7 to 10 days. It is 7 days since the date cancellation, I have still not received the money back and neither the confirmation mail from IBIBO to give the refund.

    Total amount to be refunded is Rs 33,003. Mails sent to the customer care are bouncing.

    Please take the issue with GOIBIBO travels, to do the needful.

    SNAPSHOT of the same has been mailed to you again on your YAHOO ID.

    We tried to reach you @ 986XXXX924. However, we were told that the number is incorrect. We have sent the details of the refund as a separate email to you again. Please respond to the same and confirm.

    Thanks for finally sending an email. When I did not receive any reply from travel@ibibogroup.com and travelfeedback@ibibogroup.com for my repeated mails, I begged your callcenter people to send a mail confirming the refund. Finally I had to resort to anything that will help me to get my money back.
    However, as of now, inspite of your mail, ,my bank statement does not reflect any credit from IBIBO. If you had mail transfer of fund online, with EFT it will not take more than 24 hours to reflect in my bank account. So what is the status of refund?

    I can now confirm that the refund has been credited to my bank account. Finally, something worked. Thanks to this forum where consumers can vent their genuine anger and get is resolved. I still stick to my view that IBIBO travel website is not a reliable partner for booking travel tickets.

    Dear Sir/mam,

    i have done my spice jet bookings thrgh IBIBO on 18th Jan'2011 and canceld the ticket in feb.
    its been more than a month i havent recieved the refund. I also tried finding your number to reach but no number in records.

    can some one reach me on my email m_shefali@yahoo.com and update me with my status.
    The booking ref number is :- A52KCV , DEL-BGL and travel was for 23rd mar'2011
