I made booking with GOIBIBO on 27th November 2010 through HDFC credit card at around 1 AM in the morning. At the time booking price(for Jetlite) was showing is : Rs 29383. After doing the transaction , the tickets were not booked but my card was charged for the booking. The worst condition , GOIBIBO is not having any helpdesk to operate in the night to help us in booking during night in a failure situation. I have waited till morning and when I contacted them , they have treated us very badly and told that either we have to pay 7,000 Rs more for the a different flight booking or we have to take the refund back. The reason they have given is that there are no seat available in the same flight (Jetlite). We have contacted the Jetlite customer care during night time after failure of our transaction. They have told us that seat are very much avilaible at the same price which was deducted by GOIBIBO , when we were doing the transaction (around 1 AM). They also told us that there are chances of price hike in the morning. The same happened in the morning , when GOIBIBO tried to book it.
Still the amount is not refunded into my credit card account. I am feeling like cheated as I have to pay another Rs 7000 for booking of the flight next morning. If GOIBIBO would have checked the avilability before deducting the amount from my credit card, this would have not happened. Even if they would have had the customer care working in 24/7 , this would have not happened.
Please take it up with GOIBIBO. first of all, my debited amount should be refunded and
2nd, they are responsible for my loss of Rs 7000 , which I have paid extra for booking the ticket next day. They should also consider this and give me conpensation for this, as they have blocked my amount for whole night without giving any confirmation , whether the tickets can be booked or not, which results in fare rise next day morning , when I booked with some other agent.
