I have booked tickets for travelling on 12-Jan-2011 from Chennai to Madurai in JOY Travels.

I booked the ticket on 13-Dec-2010, the day on which ticket bookings open for 12-Jan-2011 buses.

The fare of the bus is Rs.350/- Non AC.

But I got call on 11-Jan-2011 3 PM stating that the Bus operator cancelled the bus service on my travel date.

But when I went to some other ticket booking website to book ticket in some other buses I saw the same JOY Travels Non AC on same date on same time with increased fare of Rs.750/-

I was shocked to see this.. Same bus same class but increased fare.

I cant even book in other buses due to excess fare.

Due to this I have cancelled my pongal trip to my hometown.

Take necessary actions on bus operators like this.

Even I cant arrange for alternate due to the shortage of time.

It has been a disappointing experience with Redbus
