Make My trip Booking id NF251178912793.
Kingfisher airlines confirms the status as "cancelled by Geetha naryanan" in the remarks against the booking made through Make my trip. But Make my trip is yet to process the refund...

I have followed the same, cancelled my ticket through the airlines and notified Make my trip, their CSR has even confirmed entry as 'cancelled' updated by the airlines over the telephonic conversation...

Kingfisher airlines...Your customer support executives confirm that the status has been updated as 'cancelled by Geetha Narayanan' against my booking id referred by both Make my trip and Kingfisher airlines and Make my trip has to complete the refund process.

But Make my trip says the Kingfisher airlines have not updated the status and the customer has to follow up with the airlines in getting the status updated...

Dear Editor,

I booked a ticket from Hyderabad to New York for August 27, 2011 on Air India through Makemytrip.com. The booking id is IN1108B11131 and the routing was Hyderabad to Delhi (AI127) to New York (AI101). Unfortunately, due to the hurricane that hit New York, the flight from Delhi to New York on August 28, 2011 was cancelled and I was instructed by Air India to not take the Hyderabad – Delhi sector too.



I had informed the same to the Makemytrip.com agent and I was told that they will ensure that the refund is made. I did get the refund with a service/cancellation fee of Rs. 10, 800 deducted by Makemytrip.com for “no show”. I have been calling Makemytrip.com for the past one month and explaining that if the flight was cancelled, I cannot be considered a “no show”. No one seems to understand. I am told by Makemytrip.com that they had called someone in Air India who confirmed that the flight was operational. I was also asked to get a written confirmation from Air India to get a full refund. I asked Makemytrip.com representative how they expected the customer to get a written confirmation when they themselves are going on an oral confirmation from Air India. I also told them that if they checked their records, they will notice that I paid double the fare to travel on August 29, 2011, but to no avail.



On September 23, 2011, I finally got the Air India reservations manager at Hyderabad booking office to send Makemytrip.com an email (internationalbookings@makemytrip.com) confirming that the flight was cancelled. In spite of this, till this date, Makemytrip.com has not refunded my money; on the contrary, every time I call Makemytrip.com, I have to explain my situation from the beginning. I have in fact forwarded the email from the Air India manager to the same Makemytrip.com email id three times without any results.



I have not succeeded in speaking to a supervisor at Makemytrip.com as I am always told that the supervisor is “busy”. We are not getting a response to our question on the refund.
Makemytrip is cheating customers by not refunding the entire amount..and making up excuses.
