As per the information given on make my trip website, I booked a ticket on the 7 June 2010 for Cochin-Mumbai at 21:30 hr , I left Mumabi on the 5th by train and reached kerala on the 6th June at around 12:30 am while on the way home I just checked net to confirm my flight ticket for the next day only to realise later that there is no such flight. I called up their customer service representative around 1:30 am, I was told that that the tickets will be cancelled and I will be given a refund for the same, additionally I was also told to go ahead with booking for a new ticket and I will be paid for the fare difference. I also got an email confirmation about this on the 7 June 2010.

As a response to this mail, on 9 June 2010 I had sent a mail with details describing the incidence along with all the tickets and boarding passes as e-mail attachments, as proof. But as I did not get any response from their team,I then had to call the customer service representative. I spoke to Ankush Khanna. Upon insisting he then wrote a confirmation e-mail stating that the process has been initatiate and it will take 5 business days for the amout to reflect in my account. That was the last that I heard from them . Again I had to make a call to get a response. I had to disconnect one of the calls because of a long hold time. Later I spoke to Ranjita Mohapatra on 17 June who confirmed in writing as well as verbally that I will be given refund within 24hr. Later the next day I again gave a call for which I got an e-mail and SMS reponse that the “The refund will be initiated within 7 business days of us receiving the cancellation request”. Does this mean that the tickets which had to be cancelled on the 7 June 2010 were not yet cancelled? And moreover it would take 7 more days for the account to settle?
Following this I woret a mail to the team explaing them the issue and informed them that I have
decided to proceed with legal action with regards to this matter, and that I have deceided to apply this with the consumer court. I also informed them that they may expect leagal actions soon from my side for the misguiding the customer with wrong information,inconveniences caused, for not responding in timely fashion and for giving false promises (with regards to dates of settlement)! On this mail I got a response stating that I will be given a reply within 24 hr. On the next response mail I was inform that this will be settled within 48-72 hrs.. But I have not yet had any response it past 72 hrs!
This is the senario with refund, image I am also left to be paid for the fare difference between the tickets, and they have not yet mentioned any thing about it!

Their first and foremost blunder was how could they provide information about a flight that was not at all schedule!
