    Angry makemytrip.com cheat case

    I find myself so unhappy after booking honeymoon package (Rolling Hills Of Uttarakhand "customized") from makemytrip. It was not a honeymoon trip at all. I think we need to explain what honeymoon package is to makemytrip. Whatever promises made by makemytrip was totally bogus and i find myself cheated.

    The hotels promised was a 4 star and the payment for 4 nights and 5 days was 31,754 for Booking Id: IN1201B00300, which did not include air fares. I had to manage to come to new Delhi separately. The communication made for this booking most of the time was by a personal number of Farhat (Travel agent of makemytrip).

    When I was at Kausani, I did not like the hotel as they did not provide the heaters nor geaser in the room. I had contacted makemytrip to get the hotel changed as it doesn't meet to what they had promised, But I was kept on hold for around an hour. They told me that they would be calling me back after communicating with Santosh(manager at makemytrip). Also I contacted to the personal number of Farhat (Travel agent of makemytrip) which was taken by her colleague and later switched off. We had to be in hotel with no heater and geaser for around 90 minutes and then later I called them back again for which they told me it would not be possible for makemytrip to change the hotel. I had to pay extra for the heaters.

    The hotel at Nainital was Maya regency which would have costed around 6000 for 2 nights.
    The hotel at Kausani was Sumit hotel which would have costed around 2000 for 2 nights as we had seen few couples booking at this hotel. Also there was no heater provided which I had to pay 400 more. Also I had to pay for drivers food.
    The food was not good at Kausani as compared to Nainital.
    The car provided from New Delhi for the tour was tata indigo and tour for 5 days charged to silkroute travels would be around 7000

    So, finally calculating the cost to makemytrip was 15000 and what they have charged me was double.

    My wife got sick in this tour. Hence I would like to file complaint against makemytrip for false promises, excessive charge for this tour and no proper response which lead to a very bad experience.

    I would not like anyone to suffer like this. Also I would not like/suggest anyone to travel with makemytrip.

    HI Kunal,

    Thanks for your response and we appreciate your kind gesture towards us.
    But, there is one more problem to be noticed. We have been charged extremely high, though we know that everyone is working here for their own profit. What about consumer satisfaction ? Instead of giving us comfortable facilities you had charged us very high amount.

    Actually your firm should start working towards consumer satisfaction rather just being profit oriented.

    Consumers trust you and are ready to do business with you with very little expectation that the facilities which you provide will be effective in a means of service and at the same time with cost. But, I am afraid to raise a point that in both the matters your firm loosing the trust of consumers. Also I had told the same thing to Farhat in mail on this but had not received any response at then.

    So, try to improve your service as well as be a little cost effective. Don't run merely behind earning profit but try to satisfy the consumers as well.

    If I would had planned the tour by my own, it would have had been costed me very much less with good amenities and planning.
    I feel cheated!
