I booked a ticket with Makemytrip in August end for my December trip. I had bought my ticket over the phone with one of Makemytrip's agents. He convinced me that it was the best deal which could be offered, and also I'll be getting 2 free domestic tickets. I had not planned my domestic trips at that time. Now that I am planning to visit other cities, I called up makemytrip and asked them about their offer. Apparently, you need to call 15 or 30 days after booking your international ticket, depending on your scheme. Coming to the point, how am I supposed to know all this! Like I said, my complete transaction was over the phone. Neither did the agent inform me about the rules, not did I receive any email about the offer.
The customer service representative over the phone told me that she cannot do anything now, as I have passed 30 days after booking my ticket. She also told me that they don't spill out the offer details to customers directly. That's very convenient for them! Offer a scheme and then back off by giving such reasons.
I've booked tickets with them for 2 years in a row now. Sorry makemytrip, you've lost a customer. I couldn't be more disappointed with you guys.
