I am unhappy with the service I am getting from Thomas cook. Such behaviour makes me more worried about how things will be once I travel if I am not being responded to properly before travel.
I've booked Ladakh package starting June 6-12 for two people. Booking file number 241131537. At the start, price quoted to me was without any discounts. Later, one of my relatives booked same trip, for same dates, from Delhi, and they were offered Rs. 3000 couple discount. Upon checking with Shiva he agreed to give the discount. He made an excuse saying discount halted for 2 days i.e dates when I made my booking.
On final bill, he again asked me to pay amount which incluleded only part of discount, not full 3000. When I checked with him again about the discount, he adjusted the amount. Since then (its been 10 days), I've been asking him to send me the receipt of payment. I've called him 4-5 times, and each time he says "I'll send this today", and makes some excuse about statement not arrived, or accounting issue. This doesn't give a good feel about how the trip is going to turn out.
Yesterday, he sent me a SMS saying he is going out of town till Tuesday, and I'll receive my documents after June 3rd. Earlier, I was promised that
travel documents will be given to me on June 1. Problem is that I am leaving for Delhi on evening of June 3, and now don't understand how the documents will reach me, and how will I travel without documents. Since he is out I can't call him too, and he's not responded to my last message.
Such irresponsible behavour from such a reputed company. I never expected this from Thomas Cook.
