I had a very bad experience with one of the travel agency and decided to go to Consumer Court regarding the same.

Related Incident:

I had booked a ticket on 15-08-2011 to travel from Bangalore to Trivandrum through the web site Mookambika Travels - ticketSimply - Online Bus tickets, Online Bus Reservation and the traveling date was 07-09-2011. The ticket was a CONFIRMED one (Ticket no:14161) and the same is attached here. The starting time was 6pm that day and I have reported at your boarding point (Bangalore as per the ticket) at 5:45 itself. I went to the reporting station (Sharma Travels) who was sending the bus and shown my ticket and they confirmed the ticket and asked me to to wait there till 7pm since the bus was late for an hour.

Once the bus came, I got in to the bus and sat on my given seat 33w as per the ticket, then I noticed there was one more passenger who was carrying a ticket for the same seat 33w. I informed the people who was boarding the passengers and they said its not an issue and they will fix it. At 7:45 when the bus was about to start the same people asked me to quit from the bus and said my ticket is not a valid one.

I have shown the ticket and trying to convince them that its a valid and confirmed ticket but they were not listening to me. They literally started shouting at me and asked me to quit from the bus. I have noticed that the other ticket was sold out from their local center on 18th Aug and I have taken the ticket 15th Aug (3days before). So, they knew that it was a mistake from their side and to hide that they started shouting and asked me to quit. Even though I requested them like any thing they did not listen or care that and continued with their utter bad behavior.
After 8pm I suffered a lot and got your customer care no 9901700095 and informed them. They understood and agreed the mistake started calling different people and I was on that call for more than an hour. After 2 hours, by so much of effort, I paid for another bus and got a ticket in that and went to Trivandrum.

Considering the below points I am looking for some justice:

  1. The very bad attitude and behavior of your transport people who shouted and asked me to get out of the bus even though they knew it was a valid confirmed ticket. It given me the ever bad experience of loosing my name in front of every one.
  2. The attitude of transport people to ask a valid customer to leave immediately and leaving him with out any option in a night.
  3. My travel was so important and had some very important personal work on the next day which all missed by this and led to lost of money and commitments.
  4. I had to suffer a lot in that night to get another bus and pay for it.
  5. How come a ticket sold out on 15th (for me) can sell to another customer on 18th??
