I had booked a round trip indigo flight ticket from Bangalore to Patna(30-Oct-2010) and Patna to bangalore(13-Nov-2010) on 31-07-2010.
On date, the total fare from Bangalore to Patna was Rs 4752.00 and from Patna to bangalore was 5507.
The booking was done by my brother through his id and the booking reference was AMZMBU. Alongwith hid ID and phone no, my id and phone no were also provided.
The ticket was booked and the corresponding amount was deducted from my account on 31-07-2010.
Then, after one and half month, on 15-sep-2010, a mail was sent to my brother ID saying that they had some server issues and the tickets would be cancelled if he didn't contact back in 24 hours. He was out of the town on some official tour and when he came back on 18-sep-2010 a mail was there saying that both the tickets have been cancelled.
We called back at the customer care no, and a lady named Pooja received the call. We just wanted to know that why no phone calls were made before cancelling the tickets. She said she called on my brother's no but it was ot of reach. It might be possible as he was out of town and may be some network problem occured. But, our point was that why she not tried to contact on my id or my no when it ws provided. Her reply was she did not had any alternative no. Strange!!!! We told her that we had got a greeting mail from Online India Travel Portal Cheap Air Tickets India Vacations mentioning all the booking details and contact details (which we had received on 31-july-2010). And her behaviour and way of talking became disgusting.
She said their server has recorded no alternative no. Is it my fault? When we said, we have a mail from that site and we can forward it as a proof, she claimed that no such mails have been sent from their server. And listen at the statements she gave"Aap kyon aisi bekar ki baten karke mera time waste kar rahe hain"!!!!!!!!!
My question is if the server had a problem, it could have been informed in a day or two. Why suddenly after one and half months, when the tickets prices had become 3 times(on 18-sep-2010 it was Rs 13,076.00). And, why was I not contacted before cancellation of tickets. If I am receiving a mail from their site showing all the details I have entered, how come I'll know that their server has not recorded the details it has sent to me in mail??
On 18-sep-2010, we had mailed a person ashish.bhasin@travelchacha.com( provided in the greeting mail) describing all the issue and asked if a more responsible and sensible person can conatct at my brother's no. And, again the reply was from the same lady Pooja saying that nothing can be done as the money is already refunded. We were really surprised to see that a lady with such a rude behaviour was considered sensible and responsible for dealing with customers.
And it's 20-sep-2010 and I have not yet got my amount refunded.
Please beware of this fraud site and I'll request some strict actions against this travelchacha.com so that consumers don't loose faith in good services and service providers.
