We had booked 3 tickets with the following details with Rao Travels from Delhi to M****i
And because of the floods enroute we were not able to travel and wanted to do a cancellation.
There was no defined way to get the tickets cancelled moreover there was no one to respond on the numbers they had provided.
THE WORSE PART is their executive somebody called Manoj started using abusive language and giving threats when we tried to mention our frustration.

I had a worst expereince with RAO travels, they have cancelled the trip to Amarnath with out citing any valid reasons. When asked for compensation, the proprietor/owner starting using abusive language instead of justifying the cancellation. Never prefer this travels.

This agency is worst. we had booked our ticket on 13th from delhi to m****i and 15th m****i to delhi back.
1) The agency shifted the boarding place without any knowledge of the passengers. Many people were calling and confirming where to get the bus (Both ways from Delhi- M****i & Back)
2) Anyhow we found boarded the bus in karolbagh to m****i. Instead of departing on time, it was late by 3 hrs, staff was giving bull shit reasons that they cudnt find the driver.
3) During en-route to m****i, due to some weather problem they stopped the bus at some cheap place and said that the route is not good and all people have to stay here untill all its fine, without checking actually and becoz of that another 3 hrs delay.
4) Bus Driver and conductor, you dont expect any information from them, whether the bus will move or not.
5) At m****i also, no one knew whether the bus will be available or not, at the last moment, bus came and inspite of that we all were shifted to the back seats of the bus that had booked the ticket earlier.

No reason - Simply DONT EVER THINK of RAO TRAVELS

I am hurt and distressed on Rao travels for spoiling my weekend. Lack of coordination, lack of professionalism on your part has spoilt my trip to m****i and wastage of money. We returned back with heavy heart. Following are the incidents that have taken place through your package:

1. I got a call from Ms. Sonia on couple package for m****i. I found it tempting and booked it. That was a gift I wanted to give my father.

2. I wanted good seat and i was offered seat 20,21. On the day of travel we were not given the seat entitled and was made to seat elsewhere that was not comfortable. We accepted it.

3. On the voucher we were given the contact number of Mr. Narendra for hotel. On reaching when we contacted Mr. Naredra, his reply was " see i am on Delhi and i can’t help you, you directly call the hotel"... Why his number was then provided to us from Rao travels.

4. Ms. Sonia,rao executive, the day before informed that it will cost us Rs 20 to reach the hotel booked for us. On the day the hotel people said it will cost us Rs 400. We paid and still accepted it.

5. On first day for local sightseeing, no one was calling us from Rao travels. I had to call Mr. bunty and Ms. Sonia and they informed at 12 vehicle will come. At 11.30 when I recalled, Ms. Sonia said " your hotel is too high and vehicle will not come to you, Local sightseeing are closed so no trip today".... We were extremely disappointed because we have paid for that trip. On verifying from others we found jeep was coming to the hotel and in front of us the visitors were going for local sights seeing but our trip was cancelled. I again called back. Ms. Sonia said it will cost us Rs. 2000 to bring you and we can’t afford that. My question to Rao travels " why did you book such a hotel for us from where you can’t take us? It was you who selected the hotel and not us. Why did you not put the extra 2000 in budget while presenting to us beforehand and then sent vehicle to get us? Why on that very day you are informing us that our trip is cancelled where we have paid for it?" We further verified that it cost only Rs 400 by jeep to take us. After that Ms. Sonia stopped taking our call. After 1 hour she took my call and gave the number of Dogra. When i called Mr Dogra he said all my vehicles have already left for sightseeing. We have been informed late and we can’t help. Then i booked a different vehicle on my own and went for local sightseeing. Hadimba, monastry, hot water, mall road etc. I could manage local sightseeing but Rao travels could not where as it took money from us.

5. At the evening Ms. Sonia called us to inform that they are shifting our hotel to a convenient place where the trips will be easy for us. They booked us Naveen hotel, super deluxe room. The facility of super deluxe was at after 11pm at night no water at bathroom. We had to control toilets. Hot water was available only for 3 hours in the morning and 2 hours at night. This was the facility whereas we have paid to Rao travels for three star...where is our money then spent?

6. We went to solang valley the second day. The third day as per package we should be taken to manikaran and then for Delhi. However on the night of 2nd day we get call from hotel that we have to check out at 12 pm next day. On enquiring about manikaran tour, they informed we are not entitled to that. I called back Ms. Sonia but call was not taken. On calling Mr. Bunty[Rao travels executive], he said to ask the hotel people to call him,he will tell them. " IS IT MY RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE HOTEL PEOPLE CALL RAO TRAVELS EXECUTIVE? WHY DID I PAY MONEY THEN?. I still called the hotel and they said ask Rao travels to call us. I again called Rao travel executive Mr. bunty and he repeated the same " please tell them to call me" I called Mr. Dogra and he said ask Rao travels to call us " WAS IT A GAME THAT WE ARE PALYING? RAO TRAVEL PROMISED US IN TICKET FULL COMFORT BUT WHAT WAS HAPPEING IS A SHAME TO RAO TRAVELS. Finally Mr. bunty called them and worked on it. But he did not inform me. Again I called him to ask and he said it’s managed. Then I called the hotel and they said we can go for the tour. " I PAID MONEY TO RAO TARVELS TO COORDINATE BUT WE WERE CORDINATORS BETWEEN HOTEL AND RAO TYRAVELS".

7. Next problem came regarding return bus. I asked Mr. bunty which is our bus, he said speak to hotel and you shall be informed. On speaking to hotel executives, they again said you ask Rao travels and give us bus number. We were irritated. I again called Rao travels and bunty gave us the bus number of chamunda 37.. Something and he further asked us to show it to hotel. On showing it to hotel, they changed the bus to 8862. That was the Volvo where seats were in bad condition and minimum water was also not provided on bus.WHAT SORT OF COORDINATION WAS THAT?

8. I informed Ms. Sonia at beginning that I would prefer Non-veg and she promised. In Naveen hotel we were offered veg.

9. On first day i also called Rao travels to complain the matter. I called trice and was informed that they will get back to us in 5 mins. We never got that call.

The entire trip was spoiled in coordinating with Rao travels and hotels. This is ridiculous we have paid you. We paid for three star but no such facility. We paid for local sightseeing but no facility. We paid for non-veg but no facility, we paid for a good coordinator but we were coordinating ourselves.

I HAVE LOST FAITH ON YOU. I WORK IN A COMPANY THAT HAS 55 BRANCHES ALL OVER TEH COUNTRY. MY COMPANY, FRENS, FAMILY THEIR COMPANY SHALL NEVER MAKE ANY BOOKING WITH RAO TRAVELS. WE HAVE LOST FAITH ON YOU. THE LAST HOPE IS THAT THIS MAIL WILL BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERTION AND I DEMAND 50% OF THE MONEY BACK.
