Hi,

A travel agent in Bangalore got Rs.1000/- as hotel booking advanced to book a resort/hotel in Chikmagalur. After going to the hotel, the hotel says they did not get any advance from the agent and I need to pay all the charge (Rs.2000) to the hotel.

I ended up paying Rs.3000/- for stay that costs Rs.2000/- only.

When asked about the advance to the agent, he says that is his service charge. I feel cheated. I see someone taking away my money and I just could not stop it, thats how my new year started.

I have all the recipts from the agent and the hotel. I want to complaint against this agent, can any one of you please suggest how do I proceed about it?

Hello everyone,

I had also faced same problem & when i reach the hotels, they said that they have not yet received any advance money. So now, i started booking through Hotels tickets. It is very much saved & everything is in appropriate manner.

I have not got any reply from the forum. I am not sure if it is because i did not give details the details of the agent. If that is the case, the Travel agent is : Fantasy Travels, R.T. Nagar, Bangalore.
