Dear all

I applied for the Permanent Residency (PR) for Australia through a Consultancy firm in the year 2008. I paid him approximately Rs. 150000/- ( One lac fifty thousand rupees ), for this purpose I also cleared my IELTS exam.

But later in year 2009 I dropped my plan to move abroad and decided to settle here. Till that date my case was not even filed with the embassy, only the papers were prepared.

I requested the agent ( owner ) of cosultancy firm to deduct his charges ( fees etc. ) and refund me my rest of money as I have dropped my plan, but despite my several personal reminders he refused to return back a single penny.

I kindly request you to guide me :

a) what legal proceedings can I use ?
b) can I file this case in consumer court ?
c) what proofs do I require ?
d) any other guidance from your side ?
