    Default Country Club India Ltd

I , Amarjit Singh am a retd Col from the army. I recd a msg through mob from Country Club India Ltd on 19 oct 2011 that i have been selected for a weeks free holiday and should come to pick up the gift voucher from Aroma hotel , chandigarh. I accompanied by my wife reached the Country Club India Ltd office at 6 pm. There i was given a presentation on club membership costing Rs1,99500. I was told that being a def pers coupled with a promotional offer i will get a discount of Rs 60000 and discounted package is for Rs 1.39500. They insisted that club membership is offered only on invitation and is not open otherwise. If , I walked out then I will not be able to become a member. Considering it to be an opportunity, I paid a sum of Rs 64350/ and the rest is required to be paid in 24 monthly EMIs.

On reaching home I searched the net to check up on the credentials of the company and learnt that a lot of people have been taken for a ride by the company with hotels offered not being five star [the fact that the accommodation will be five star was repeatedly bein emphasised in the presentation]. Also that the bookings of hotels was not being done in the time promised by them.

On 20 Oct 2011, I rang up Mr Jitesh ,the representative of Country Club India Ltd on his Mob and apprised him of my apprehensions about the whole scheme. I also requested that I did not wish to become a member an d as I have not availed of any of their facilities my money Rs 64350 be reimbursed. He refused saying that I had signed the agreement papers to become a member and thed m oney could not be reimbursed.

I approached the company in less than 24 hrs after signing the agreement for membership. I have not availed any of their services and I feel cheated. Pl suggest suitable action for rfecovering my money.
