I have made a reservation to stay in the Pride hotel Chennai Through Travelguru .com from 24-7-10 to 26-7-10. On my request to cancel my bookings through travelguru they say that the hotel policy is no refunds.when i go through the hotel website says full refunds if cancellations are made 48 hours in advance. travelguru mentions rs.300/- as cancellation charges. But despite my request they are not refunding the remaining amount saying the hotel has refused the request for refund.
When i made the booking on the travelguru site it was never mentioned that it is non refundable.
Moreover when i am not availing the stay and am canelling my booking much in advance i am entitled to refund of amount of stay. This speaks a lot about the service policy of the hotel.
Shall advise all to check the cancellation policy before you make any reservations from travelguru.com as the policy may differ from what is written on travelguru.com website and also the policy on the hotel website may not be applicable to your reservation. you may lose on all your money, if you cancel any bookings and the hotel and the website will be laughing away to the bank.
