Subject: Refund of Booking TGU0000303030

I have done following booking with Travelguru with ID TGU0000303030 but this confirmed booking was not honoured by the Hotel silk route residency Gangtok.

On 6th June late evening Mr. Pranav from Travelguru called me up when i was travelling towards Gangtok and he requested me to change the hotel since hotel staff was telling him that no room is available on 7th ,8th and 9th Jun for which i have already got confirmation and paid money in cash.

I was repeatedly followed up till 7th June by pranav for changing the hotel and I was continously denying to change the venue from silk route residency to somewhere else.

When I reached gangtok in afternoon at about 12.00 hotel manager has told me that there is no such booking thru travelguru in your name and Travelguru has not informed Hotel for this booking.

When I talked to hotel owner Mr Manoj agrawal he has straight away denied the booking and told me that no room is avaialble for me.I was repeatedly trying to contact pranav for explaining the Hotel Mangaer & owner but inspite of that he was repeatedly telling me to change the venue.I was shocked to see such responses from Hotel and representative of Travelguru.I was left with no other option to search other hotel on my own which has wasted my lot of time and money.My planning for sight seeing that day was cancelled and the cab which i booked could not be utilized fully for which i was paying Rs. 2000 per day basis.

I have booked another hotel of my choice which incurred additional expenses also for immediate booking.

There was clear cut conflict between the statements from travlguru represenative and Hotel Owner regarding this Booking where Hotel was telling for no information and Travelguru rep telling that we have sent mail to Hotel for this booking.So I got in writing from Hotel Manager of silk route residency that they were having no information for such booking from Travleguru to them.Pls see the attached scanned copy.

When i talked to pranav for refund of additional money @ 2000/- Rs per day as i incurred apart from my actual booking amount of Rs 3188/- he told that we have cancelled your booking and you will get the complete refund for same.

Then I talked to some other representative since i am not satisfied with such response and she confirmed me for additional compensation for the inconvenience and disturbance in my Tour.

I request you to please refund me Rs.10,000/- including 3 days compensation for inconvenience caused to me and my family.


Please send the Refund of Rs 10,000/- by the end of this week to my permanent address as follows
