Respected Madam/Sir,
I booked 6 rooms at Hotel Pithla Haveli, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan from 27th December 2011 to 29th December 2011 through international web portal AGODA.COM vide my booking refrence nos.

I checked-in on the desired date at around 15:30 but the hotel staff refused to allot us our rooms after we showed them the booking vouchers of AGODA.COM for reason- "We have not received payments from AGODA.COM and hence canmot allot you any rooms".
While we continued to argue with the hotel people my children,friends and the ladies accompanying us were hungry and tired after our long bus journey from Jodhpur and ordered hot snacks at the hotel.the bill of which was retained by me and is attached here with for your kind reference.
We wasted all our efforts in trying to convince the hotel authorities that we had nothing to do with what agreements/understanding Hotel Pithla Haveli had with AGODA.COM and continued demanding our rooms.We requested the hotel authorities to give us in writing as to why they were not allotting us the rooms but they refused and scared us with dire consequences if we approached any Government authorities regarding this issue.We being tourist from Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra decided to leave the place immediately and check in at some other hotel and not to spoil our holiday mood.We therefore tried to contact AGODA.COM people who kept us on hold or 20-25 minutes on international call line and hence sent them a mail regarding the said dispute.
Meanwhile we managed to get only 4 rooms out of desired 6 rooms at Hotel Thar Vilas which was 25kms away from the city and far more expensive than Hotel Pithla Haveli
The next day we were surprised when AGODA.COM called us and said that when they spoke to Hotel Pithla Haveli people they told them that the rooms were vacant for the guests but the guests did not arrive till date.We hence approached with our written complaint to RAJASTHAN TOURISM DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (RTDC) who assured us of an action against Hotel Pithla Haveli but later we realised that they could not do much against the Hotel Pithla Haveli people as they were some local goons and the bookings were done through AGODA.COM and not directly.
In our endeavor to visit Jaisalmer,Rajasthan, we were busy looking for hotels in strong breezy winters with children and ladies,running for small things to the city which was 25kms away and finding Government offices to lodge our complaint and making sure that we stay out of the reach of Hotel Pithla Haveli people.
We hereby request you to take strict action against such hotels who act as either local goons or have influences in all Government departments and harress tourists.
We would also ;ike you to take strict action against AODA.COM which is an international booking portal and are involved only in frauds and malpractices.WHY SHOULD OUR GOVERNMENT NOT BAN/PUT RESTRICTIONS ON SUCH PORTALS WHICH CLAIMS TO BE VERY REPUTED.We loose money and they gain reputataion is not done.
None should be spared and with this hope i look forward t your replies and actions.
