Subject: Membership Cancellation and Refund of Amount Rs. 1,67,794.00
This is to share my experience with Club Mahindra (CM). Here, I want to state that I am really very upset with the kind of response I have received from Club Mahindra regarding my membership cancellation and the way membership was sold. The issue is regarding misguiding and misleading the members like me who really trusted your brand name.
We got a call from CM in middle of 2009 and a sales guy came to our house. At that time he promised us so many things. We opted to take the white studio for 7 days an year. He had promised that CM will help in selling a few days per year so that the ASF is covered that way. Also he said that CM will help in cancelling the membership and getting us refund of the money. They do this all the time by helping to sell the membership. It turned out, which I had no clue at that time that the membership that they sold us was being sold by some one else. Even in the profile page of the member section that old member ship number is showing up. We were new to this country after a long break and this was how we were greeted.
Then there was a promise of 5 days vacation and we opted to take Coorg during Nov of that year. That was the time when we knew that something was amiss in that whenever we were calling and giving this membership #, it was not recognized in their system. Also the booking to that place was horrible and we didn't know till last minute if that was going to happen. Then on the day before they confirmed everything and gave us a route map which was useless. we had to endure long nights in the terrible forest of Tirunelly and we had to cancel the trip.
After that one Ms. Binzy took charge and kind of convinced us to go with CM which turned out to be even a greater blunder for us. We paid a huge money in monthly EMI and down payment. We thought she will be able to straighten out our problems and in 2011 asked if we can downgrade instead of continuing to pay this huge EMI. With downgrade she was asking for another payment of exorbitant sum to bring the account to current. At that point we made the final call to cancel this. Now she is saying that CM doesn't owe us anything back.
And each time for all these requests CM takes their own sweet time. each call gets returned after 2 weeks and then we have to follow up again to see the status. Dealing with a government office was better than this supposedly well-reputed organization. I am at my wits end and would like to get my refund back ASAP.
If this is not going to materialize soon, I will have to go through common law which frowns upon such corrupt and high handed practices.
