Dear Sir(s),
I had drafted a letter to Bajaj Finance Customer Care, narrating the incident which ocuured yesterday (28th Oct 2011). Pls find below excerpts from the letter

Dear Team,
I am writing this mail with great regret and embarrassment about the way the recovery process of our scooter loan is being handled.
Regret – for having considered BajajFinance as the choice of financer and Embarassment – for the illegal and inappropriate way the recovery process is being dealt with by BajajFinance.
Loan A/c Details:
Hirer: Mr.Ajit Krishnarao Chawathe ; Date: 16/01/2006 ; Proposal No: 143142
Today (28th Oct 2011), I was randomly approached by 2 strangers, claiming that 3 vehicle EMIs are pending since Nov 2008 amounting to Rs.3,088/- only. The 3 EMIs pertain to the last three months of the payment period.
I was asked to come to the BajajFinance office at Wakhdewadi (Pune), to pay the dues of Rs. 3,088/- and close the account. One of the strangers sat behind me and the other followed us on another motorcycle. However when we reached the office at 2.30pm, it was closed (locked).
After waiting for 15min, I was asked to come outside the BajajAuto compound. 3 more strangers approached me in a white maruti zen and one of them forced me to part with my motorbike keys after an argument and drove off on my motorcycle, against my will. When I asked for a receipt stating - that the vehicle has been confiscated, I was asked to quietly go away and that they would give it to me the next day. But when I still insisted, I was taken in their car to an unknown location ahead of Khadki Cantonment and was handed the receipt in an unknown shop. The price quoted for getting my own vehicle back is Rs.21,000/-, which is not acceptable and accounts to blackmail and illegal possession of the vehicle.
Request you to pls consider the case, since we are willing to pay the overdues of Rs.3,088/- orelse I will have no option but to internally escalate the matter to our ex CFO, who is now presently in the Management of BajajFinserv – Mr. S Sreenivasan OR take police assistance and go to the Consumer Forum / Media for mental harassment.
I am myself presently working with BajajAllianz General Insurance Co Ltd., which is located in the Bajaj Finserv premises and it gives me immense shame to write this to you.
Kindly look resolve the matter at the earliest.
Letter / Mail end

Pls advice accordingly since the Amount being claimed by the Private recovery agency is 7 times more than the actual overdues of Rs. 3088/- only
