I have purchased a house in Pune and the builder has written in the contract that he will deliver the house in 8 months from date of registration ie End of May-10. But still the work in progressing at a slow pace and now he is saying he will deliver in July end. I am suspecting it to get delayed by at least 3-4 months. When asked the reason for delay, labor issue is usually the excuse.

Any suggestions if it can be taken up in consumer court for compensation due to delay.
