My name is Rajshree. Im a housewife. My daughter had taken a personal loan from Barclays Bank. Due recession she lost her job and could not able to pay her March month's EMI. Barclay recovery agents are calling me on my cell phone and threatening me. They had come at my house twice and abused me a lot in front of all my society member.
I told them the truth that she is searching for a job and not staying here with me. I am NOT a secondary or a co-applicant for that loan. Please help me to stop this harrassment.

I have taken two wheeler loan on 5/4/08 in Shriram chits. The loan number is TWHDK3019/08. The branch is Devakottai (ph no -04561-273031). The Due amount for every month would be Rs.1443/-, I have been doing the payment very promptly and regularly. The due closing date is on October 2010. Initially I had given the monthly cheques to deduct the payment. But due to unfortunate circumstances, I paid through the cash itself before 5th of every month. Likewise, it has been paid very genuinely and regularly through the cash and for that received the receipts and respective cheques returned to me till 21 months. But for the last two transactions I made to them I demanded them to produce cheques back (april 24 and may 25). Even after made the payments promptly, I have got the sms in my cell that both above dated cheques have been bounced and informed by headoffice(chennai). Then I had contacted devakottai branch for the explanations demanding why cheques have not been handedover to me and repetitive payment issues and interest calculations if it preclosed. They replied in very harsh manner without considering the women and there was no explanations I demanded been sought out on interest calculation. They just answered this is why the company gave us and we do not know any calculations detail. I was unable to get proper answer for the questions I made to the representatives in devakottai. They replied that u contact karaikudi and Chennai office. I had contacted Chennai office, there no one is hearing to my problem and just routed to be communicated with the respective branch only.I did regular attempt to devakottai branch and representatives are threatening that if I ask any questions related to that, they will not issue my RC book and as per my wish they asked me to take any action in this regard. I am clueless since I have paid regularly.. the customer treatment in the branch is created me so upset and frustrated being a lady. Request you to give me the clarifications and please call upon this number or email me your opinions by cross checking the accounts of my loan. Kindly do the needful to me.

Please log a complaint to near police station for the same cause they doesn't have any rights to abuse you or your daughter.

Also, please have a look at RBI Website, they have circulars which clearly says that neither the bank or the recovery agent can harass you and if anyone does so, you can call up the RBI Complaints Redressal Cells and lodge a complaint against them and they will take a serious action against the same.

Due to last year's recession,i lost my job during December 2009.Immediately one of my uncle helped me to settle all the bank loans almost 11 banks including barclay bank.,through legally.Till date i have settled all the bank loans thru legal approach.Still i am not in the regular payroll,i am getting only the consolidated payment of 15,000.00INR.Hence once i again i hereby request you to settle the credit card and personal loans with good waive.Iassure u that will isettle thru on installment basis within 4 months.

2 YEARS BACK.TILL DATE PAID RS.2.15L AGAINST LOAN TAKEN RS.3.82L.
MY CURRENT OUTSTANDING IS RS.1.67L.
BUT BANK IS ASKING FOR RS.7.00L( @RS. 8493*TOTAL 84EMI)
THEY CHARGED ME HEAVY PROCESSING CAHRGES AS RS.12000.WHILE GIVING LOAN AS WELL.
ANYBODY CAN HELP ME.
