I lost my father in 1994 in a terrorist encounter,he was in Assam Police Circle Inspactor. After his death my mother get a job as a lower division clerk in SP's office, Nalbari, Assam. we are 4 siblings and I was in class VII in that time. I am his third child. We were financially weak from the very beginning. But somehow she manage to take care of all of us. we all were so much younger, when he left us. Today I am working cause of her courage and determination. But recently when she wanted to take a loan for her financial help ( as our younger sister need regular treatment) we all are astonished by their service and rules. In middle of November 2011, when she wanted to take a loan one of HDFC bank executive met her and informed her that, he could help her if she open a saving account in their bank by depositing Rs.10000/-. With lots of hope (as his direction) she opened one saving account in their HDFC bank, Nalbari branch and also she provided all documents they have asked for the loan. And they told that they will contact her back very soon. But several days passed, near about 1 month gone they had not contact her back. Very desperately when she herself asked them why they have not contacted her yet, very annoyingly they told her that she is not qualified for the loan, because she is working in "Police Department". She with we all are very much shocked by knowing this cause..how can they do that after giving so much hope. I would like to know is there any rules or Govt. Policy that someone can't qualify for loan because He/She is working in Police department!!!.. Is not it a republic country??!!! Please help me!!
