I had taken a home loan from HDFC Ltd in 2007 at 10.5% interest rate, as that was the prevailing interest rate at that time. As time passed, the interest rate has reduced drastically. Now the organization is giving loans at 8% to new customers, but my interest rate is still high at 10.25%. Recently RBI gave a directive to all the banks to make the interest rate uniform across new and old customers. But HDFC Ltd. declined to reduce my interest rate.l I had several discussion with the customer care executing of HDFC Ltd on this subject, but of no use. They are saying that they have not received any circular from their head office and also they do not follow RBI in this respect.

Can you please help me on this subject? I need to get my interest rate reduced as per current market rate to reduced the tenure.
