I have applied for home loan from IDBI. IDBI informed that my name is in CIBIL Defaulter List. After checking IDBI report I found that there is a wrong entry in the CIBIL report. I contacted to defaulter as per address given in report i.e. at Reda Tal Indapur Dt Pune and found that The defaulter has same name & date of birth as me but different residential address and Grandfather's name. I collected copies of loan document and his newly issued PAN. I contacted his banker ICICI and requested to correct the list with CIBIL. But ICICI are reluctant and saying that the report is prepared by CIBIL and I must deal with CIBIL only. They refused to accept my application for correction by sending correct information to CIBIL. ICICI is saying that you apply for home loan to us and we will do all procedures.
What should I do?
I have already purchased flat in the monthof Feb'10 and I have to complete the transaction within few days as per agrrement.
Plzz advice.
