I had closed my ICICI bank personal loan by repaying the amount told by me in one of the branches.They also told me that this was the last payment and the loan will be closed once the cheque gets cleared.After a month they once again debited the monthly installment amount from my account without my knowledge. When contacted the customer care they told me that I had repayed only the principal amount and there was some kind of preclosure charges (5.5%) which i needed to pay.This was very frustrating for me because when I had gone for the preclosure they did not mention the amount, and preclosure means that no deduction should be taken from the customers account. I am helpless against the fraud done by the bank in tha name of preclosure charges.If it is really applicable they should have mentioned on the day when i went to close the loan.
