Hi,
I have taken a personal loan from Family Credit in March and they were very helpful to collect my documents and take my signatures. However, when they collected my documents, I told the guy who picked my documents that I wanted the loan only for 1 year and not 2 and he said yes, later when I spoke to the person who was giving me the loan (Ramakrishna) I told him the same thing and he hesitated a bit, but agreed to give it for 1 year ( this was over the phone). I have never seen Ramakrishna till date in person. At the time I went to collect my cheque, I only signed agreeing that I have taken the cheque and nothing else. But after the 1st ECS, I noticed that they have taken half the amount that I agreed to pay so I called them back to confirm, they said they will check and get back to me. However, till date, nobody has got back to me on the same. I tried calling the numbers that I had, but for the bad, the phone numbers are either not in use, busy or rings and nobody picks the call. I also did not agree on any specific date that the ECS should be taken as I believed that they would discuss that with me like every other company does. But in this case, they have decided to take the amount out of my account on the 5th when I get my salary on the 8th or every month. Earlier this month, Ramakrishna called me and asked me what my problem was. I again repeated everything to him all though I have sent the same as a complaint in a mail. But Ramakrishna turned around and told me that its not the company's or his problem and that I should have thought of all this before I took the loan. (How would I when I did not know this and was waiting for this to be discussed with me?) He is one of the most rude people I have ever come across and seemed to be very threatening with his tone, he did not seem to be bothered of what I said and only wanted the money on the time they have decided without my knowledge. He cant talk proper English and neither does he seem to understand the language. I again sent a mail to Family Credit and someone else called me (I don't remember his name) he said that as per the rules, I have signed a paper at the time of picking up the cheque on which I would be agreeing to the date of ECS and duration of the loan repayment which I did not sign. He said that he would check on this and get back to me in 2-3days, but I have not got any call back from anyone from Family credit except for a recorded message that keeps asking me to pay the amount. I'm tired of calling them and don't intend to do so anymore. Can you please help and advise me as to what can be done. Thanks Craige Nicholas Mob no: 09916 589 440 |
