Hi,

I had given application to the Axis bank to close my account around 1 year back, and when I was submitting the application for account closing no-one asked me to deposit the LIEN amount(if any) to enable account to be closed, and I was getting the statement with LIEN amount. The LIEN amount was increased to Rs. 1,429.78.
I think bank should inform the customers about their account in case of non-operative scenario as per RBI norms, I never get any information regarding this and also about the minimum amount i need to keep in the account.

I had deposited the LEAN AMOUNT Rs. 1430/- to the branch on 17th July 2010 and also the application to close my account as soon as possible. I also sent a mail to confirm that my account is closed or not, but did not get any response from the bank.

As I deposited the LIEN amount and requested to close the account, then why I am getting the statement each moth?

I also get mail form "Deep Kumar Sharma, AVP Operations, Branch Office-Noida Sec16, Delhi Circle, Ph:0120-2512744/45, 2510751/52, Fax : 0120-2510737, stated that "Your account has been closed on 21-07-2010". But still I am getting monthly statement.

I am fearing that Axis bank will again charge the lean amount.

I have also stopped using my salary a/c 319010100205528 [Saltlake Sector V Branch, Kolkata] since 2010. I sent them several mails and made phone calls also to close this a/c as I was not getting any communication mail, pins anything at my residential address moreover I have left that office through which the a/c was created. But the branch manager refused to close the account and told that I will receive everything from the next month.

But they didnt close my a/c even after submitting the filled up form at their branch till date.

Till date they send me monthly eStatements Now the lien amount goes to Rs. 3047.04

Cant understand why they are so inhuman to their customers. Axis Bank is really a chor Bank. Especially the Sector V branch manager.
