Dear Sir,

Re: - Non Credit of Rs. 60000/- (Rs. Sixty thousand only) to the account of our Gumla Branch by State Bank of India, Gumla, Disstt – Gumla, Jharkhand

We refer to above in the captioned matter and like to inform you that:

1. A cheque bearing Number 265600 for Rs. 60000/- drawn on State Bank of India was presented by our Gumla Branch to State Bank of India, Gumla Branch for payment on 28.08.2008 at the counter of SBI Gumla since no Clearing House was in function.
2. Proceeds of the said Cheque is not yet credited to the account of our Gumla Branch nor have they returned the Cheque till date.
3. Our Gumla Branch was reminded several times verbally and through letters to credit the proceeds of the said Cheque to our account but SBI Gumla branch has not even acknowledged the letter of our Gumla Branch. Since SBI Gumla Branch has not returned the Cheque presented on counter, our branch has already made payment to the customer.
4. The said entry is outstanding in our books since Aug’2010.
5. The matter was informed to the Asstt. General Manager, State Bank of India, Region 1, Kutchery Campus, Ranchi vide our letter no. RO:JR:PLN:24/736 dt. 10.06.2010 soliciting his intervention in the matter, but that also did not yield any result.
6. The matter was also informed to the DGM Customer of SBI, Pune and Local Head Office of SBI, Patna and they assured that the matter will be taken care but still no result has come.

This issue of our Gumla branch is still unresolved.

We, therefore, request you to look in to the matter and resolve the issue at the earliest. Also we request you to acknowledge receipt of our mail.
