I would like to inform that I am having a Savings Bank Account bearing No.20066951133 (CIF No.85796725439) with Imphal Main Branch, MG Avenue, Imphal (Manipur) of State Bank of India. On 1st December, 2011 I have withdrawn a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand)only from the SBI ATM installed at Ginger Hotel, Kunjaban, Agartala (Tripura)
Further, on 5th December, 2011 a sum of Rs.20,000/- was again deposited into my account by the department i.e. CRPF and the balance stood as Rs.27,579/- correctly. Later on, I have withdrawn a sum of Rs.10,000/- from my account from the SBI ATM installed at BSF Camp, Salbagan, Agartala and the balance remained Rs.17,579/- which was again correct. But when I went for the withdrawal on 11th December, 2011, I surprisingly found that a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand)only has been debited from my savings bank account due to the reasons not known to me whereas neither did I make any online transaction nor withdrew the said amount by any other means.
Accordingly, I approached with the Manager SBI, BSF Camp, Salbagan, Agartala (Tripura) in writing giving all the above details. After making the enquiry, he advised me to contact customer care service of SBI which I did on 21st December, 2011. Subsequently, the customer care service operator recorded my complaint under ticket number (OT923249017) with the assurance that my problem will be resolved soon and I will be informed through message on my contact number (9402751360) but nothing has been conveyed to me till now.
I would also like to mention here that I have tried to resolve my problem through the service titled as “SMS Unhappy To 08008202020” but my efforts went in vain as despite making calls to me, the concerned office has failed to resolve my problem completely as they have asked me to contact the manager of SBI branch where my account lies/is being maintained. In compliance to the advise, I have tried to call the office/branch manager SBI Imphal M.G. Avenue on numerous occasions but the numbers have not responded to my calls that is why I am explaining my problem/complaint to you through this mail. Since I am deployed in far-flung area of Tripura, I can not pay visit to the branch where my account lies i.e. SBI Imphal. On the other hand, I regret to mention that the bank which boast of very good services and customoer care has no effective mechanism to resolve problems like mine.
It is, therefore, requested that necessary action may kindly be taken to resolve the discrepancy and the amount so debited may please be got deposited into my savings bank account mentioned above. I would also like to get the penal amount whatsoever prescribed for not attending/resolving complaintes lodged by the customers on account of ATM withdrawals/transactions wef. the date of lodging my complaint viz. 21st December, 2011 to the date of settlement of my complaint.
