Been with Citibank for almost 6 Years!! Had a few situations in the past where I wanted to raise my voice against these folks but didn't get that time or had that knowledge as how to go about it. Now, 2010 I'm working with IBM India (IT Software) since Feb of 2009. Continued banking till Oct '2010 (still with Citi) is when I realized that there are no Citi bank ATM's in the area where I stay in Pune(Was on a Vacation). Hence, called the Tele banking folks to check as to whats going on as Citi was perfectly charging me with the Other ATM fee charge. So, I checked with the banking guys as to why they are charging me when my other colleagues are not been charged. That's when the Lady on the phone tells me that its a Tie up with my Company that after 5 withdrawals I'm supposed to be charged a fee for withdrawing money from other ATMs. While we were talking about the same the lady on the phone says IBM Daksh has authorized them to do so. Twist!! I've never worked with IBM Daksh (Its a Seperate Entity - Company) I work with IBM India. Now, thats where we went through the notes on the account which stated that Citi has made the mistake and used a WRONG CORPORATE CODE for me(Have a Letter on the same from CITI). They Reversed all the ATM Fees again changed the corporate code. Now, this was all sorted out in Oct '10, In Dec, I logged on to the website to change my email address (with the over awesome security that citi has i waited for the code to come to my cell) Finally It came I entered the page where I wanted to change my address. I was much surprised to see with the mess with my Company Code they even changed my Entire MAILING Address to some other address which I have no clue of. After fighting with the Citibank Super Supervisor who blamed it on my brother (additional account holder) finally after a lot of research by CITI they came to a conclusion that its again their fault.
First they GOOF up with my Company CODE (after accepting the fault and changing it back to the right code) they Changed my address (saying its a operational error). I'm waiting to see what next are they going to change. They say Sorry/Apology for all these things which don't even make any sense. If I would'nt have had thought of changing my email address it would have had gotten ugly with the new address by citibank. Mental toucher if I goof up on making my payments for my loans of cards citi ensures that they will send their people to harrase us also, ensures that they send threatening letters. If me as a customer is suppose to bear all the late fees and other charges from citi without they understanding my concern why should me as a customer understand a concern by such a huge corporation. Sorrys & Apologies haven't worked for me in past with your Credit Cards I had to pay what ever borrowed(Full) No consideration). Its the same its not going to work with me either for this kind of a goof up!!
