    Exclamation Complain against HDFC credit card.

    Dear Sir,

    I would like inform you that there is dispute going on continuous against my credit card from last one year , credit card recovery deportment continuous calling and irritating me that there is some outstanding balanced against my credit card, every time I spoke to him/her please provide the detail of transaction but they are not able to provide the detail, after many time conversation I called to customer care on 25-july-2010 at 12:16 PM then they forwarded the request to billing section, after that some one from billing section called me and provide the detail, he explain that outstanding balance due to late transfer of balance of Rs.18000/ which was used for Insurance policy , but the point is I did not receive any Insurance policy against that amount then how and why they have made the transaction against policy, so this is the reason for dispute and till date they made the outstanding bill of Rs.7000/ on me and also they have putted my name in civil as fraud and still they are harassing , 2 or 3 times in every month recovery agent calling me and asking for settle the amount.
    What I do, pls. suggest me that without using the card how I can pay the amount. Even customer care is also not taking any interest in this matter; simply they are saying that you have to pay the outstanding.

    Post Simple solution

    Very simple. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say u were not aware. Fine. That means someone was using your credit card details. All you need to do is:-

    1. Find out from HDFC at what time the transaction took place. Where, when, which website or POS was used for the transaction.

    2. If HDFC cannot provide the above info within reasonable time, you can file harassment charges against HDFC or a criminal charge against the bank at your police station under a relevant section of the IPC.
