Default complaint against hdfc bank

This bank provides very bad service, I am one of the reputed account holder of hdfc. one day my hdfc debit card lost. i applied for new one one month before, but till now i didn't get that. the peoples of karapakkam, chennai branch behaved rudely with me. I am very unsatisfied with this bank. Also I get credit card but i didnt get i-pin no. of that. my contact no. is 07845934257

Default over charging and irregularaties of credit card

I had appllied and received a credit cards from HDFC bank . they hadn't properly intructed me in the mean time i didn't get my cards bills, i noticed from SMS that company had heavyly charged me unnecessarily. I requested for bills again and when i received the bills, i was shocked to see an amount of Rs.2000/- charged me unnecessarily. i complaint for that ammount but they told me to deposit Rs. 2500/- in credit cards account then we will waive off your Rs.2000/- (charged ammount) and that time i had deposited Rs.3000/- in my credit card account and they waived off that particular ammount. in the mean while(April2009) i had visited chandigarh and done some shopping but i realized that time my card not activated from them. when i came back after one week and called recovery centre for activation of my card. that time my due ammount was near about Rs.20000/- inclueded all charges. because my card was not activated hence i didn't deposit any money.

I was asked from recovery side to deposit Rs.1000/- but it was not sure wheather my card will be activated or not.but still i was ready to deposit the amount but due to my personal commitment it delayed one or two days and same time i recieved a call from recovery side and she misbehaived me and quoted me " AGAR APKI AUKAT NAHI THI VAPIS KARNE KI TO PAISE KYO KHARCH KIYE " to this i got annoyed and didn't deposit any money. then i recieved a call from RITIKA from recovery agency and she appolozied on behalf of her. then i deposited Rs.1100/- on her request in my account and she promised me waivedoff all the charges and activate card also within 15 days.

Nobody ask me up for a month thereafter. then i received a call again from RITIKA and she asked me a deposit balance amount. I required about the waived off charges which was pending a fault from them and i again requested card which was not done. she declined to give any waiver and insisted me to deposit the money.


then after a month a representative of recovery channel came with the due amount of Rs. 28000/-. He asked me for submit Rs. 5000/- and sattle for card acount. But I Refused for the same.

After few days,I received a letter form their Credit Card legal cell and immediatly I called up their mentioned number but same she didn't give me good response and she told me that your card will not be activated and if didn't deposit their full amount you will not get any banking service from HDFC. I was very tense that time and i didn't understand, what to do now. I again received a letter from HDFC BANK and mentioned their Mr. LALIT no.09317782417. I called up his no. and discussed all that things which was happend during that period. he promised me to clear all the dispute and sattle with Rs.20000/ but after two month I've also one opend new salary account in HDFC BANK and Credit Card department Hold my salary which was company cradited Rs.25,204/- on 30th july. after that i again called up to Lalit, he told me that i couln't help you but do one thing to call bank help no.9815331111 and registered your compaint now. I call up their they told we didn't handle cradit cards queries so ragistered your compaint on credit card centre01724694332.I ragistered my complaint their and Executive MEGHA told me that someone call you from our side within two days. when i didn't get any call from their side,I again called up and another Executive DEEPALI told me same wording. Nobody call me and I have received a letter from HDFC CREDIT CARDS DIVISION. And my balance amount is within one year 38,405.98 I shocked to see their amount and realized bank charge me up 50%. now they want to sattle with me hold that my particular amount Rs.25,204.00 but also said if you will not pay your all pending amount, always you will be defaulter of bank and will not get any any banking services.


Sir, I was discussing all that dispute regarding card with mr. Lalit from last two month.and he promised to resolved all dispute all. But now I realized they don't want to resolve my queries. they only want to hold my accout amount that why banks hold my amount without taking any explanation from me and hold my account if i didn't give any answer to them, credit card cell debit all amount 25204/-from my account without any explanationon dated 14/08/2010. bank didn't realized their fault. kindly resolve my problem as soon as possible.

Post not got the full amount from HDFC ATM .

i have logged the complaint ---DEL254686 at HDFC Customer Care that i have not got the full amount or transaction .i have withdraw the amount of 2500 and got only RS 1000 ,the amount of RS 1500 was not received from the HDFC ATM. twice or thrice call received from the HDFC Customer care Executive M/s Jyoti and Mr. Khan both were not gave a satisfactory answer they said that they have checked the ATM Transaction not the CC T.V footage.and there is not mistake at there END.So Please help me to resolve the issue,i will got my money back if they will check there ATM CC T.V Footage in that i have shown the amount which i have received......Vikram 09350771588

Default now issue regarding forcefully debit all payment from my account

Actually I had submitted my complaint regarding credit card and also I've complant against channei HQ at grievance centre - and my compaint no.- 10225734412. the told me that we will send you a settlement letter to your email id but today they have debited all amount 25204/- from my account.still i"ve not received any mail.
yesterday I've received a call from recovery side and i didn't agree a terms of them which are they told me.all the terms are one sided thats why i refused so they cut the phone and after that i called up a other no which were mentioned on notice. but that concerned lady suparna sharma told me that if you have agree with our term or not we will debit on your account tomorrow(14/08/2010)
its all they have done like as DON so please suggeset me what is the proceedure if i want to complaint against which is the best way for me. its not only my metter. it is metter all that conerned persons who are suffering from them. already I've submitted a complaint against them (12/08/10).

Default Refund against disputed transactions

Dear sir/madam,

we have already provided chargeslips of disputed amount asked by hdfc bank for the disputed transactions. After providing chargeslips two times also hdfc get the amount debited from our account. After a lot of complaints regarding reverse refund hdfc is still mum and till date we have neither received any refund nor any date for the refund. The bank is using the money by its own way.

Please let me know what we have to do .

Default HDFC forexplus refund issue

I certainly lost hope on HDFC one of the banking giants of India, after providing very poor service in refunding the HDFC forexplus card amount. I have submitted refund form to the representative of HDFC prepaid card department of HDFC Koyembedu Branch on 12-08-2010. And I have been promised that the amount will be transferred to the beneficiary account (Axis bank) next day itself.

I have waited till 17-08-2010 calling the representative on phone. But the call is continuously denied by that representative.

When I checked the status in person on 18-08-2010, it was shocking that the amount (1 lakh+) has been transferred to wrong account. Despite sending the scanned copy of the form and confirming the same in mail to (prepaidcards.chennai@hdfcbank.com) incorrect beneficiary number has been provided by the representative and been processed by the prepaidcard department. The process got delayed just because the authorizing manager of that Koyembedu branch was off for couple of days. I have been confirmed that fortunately the transfer account is invalid and transaction would get rejected and DD will be issued instead in couple of days.The e-mail a powerful media is not at all considered in this matter despite having a dedicated mail id.

Till now (21-08-2010), I have not got any updates from the team concerned that I have sent so many follow up mails. I lost my peace and most of my works got stuck due to this delay.

I kindly request HDFC to consider as sensitive issue and ensure the polite response from prepaid card department staffs of Koyembedu Branch.

Thumbs down Online shopping refund problem

I am totally disappointed with HDFC bank service.Recently I made debit card transaction for purchasing an item online.Since the item was out of stock they refunded the money on August 18.Till now I did not get that money.I contacted vendor and they send me all the transaction details.I showed them to the bank and they are not responding.Its been around 15 days and there is no response from them.How can I complaint it to their higher authorities or should I complaint it to Ombudsman.Someone please help me.

Angry HDFC cheating cusotmers and getting away with it all the time

This being a whiner's forum, I have something to whine about too. HDFC was introduced to me by a friend manager who meticulously explained to me about a nice Gold Debit card with free insurance cover of Rs.2 lakhs and shit like that which everyone might say when they penetrate a market for the first time.

Now heaven only knows if the insurance and the gold card bull is still alive with regular savings accounts like mine, but looking into HDFC's website this feature seems to be a benefit only with the Savings Max scheme.
Does it still apply for us in regular Savings schemes way back from 2007-08?? because if it doesn't then that will be a breach of contract wouldn't it which HDFC prolly doesn't give a f**k anyway.

I was not given prior notice about the AQB being raised to Rs.10000 from Rs.5000 and about these new stupid fees of Rs.62 everytime I transact online even with my AQB maintained. The new rules about a charge for more than 5 cash deposits blah blah blah and all that were not even communicated to me and if I know the law correctly, "fair warning" and "prior notice" was not made by the bank, which is otherwise imperative.

Perhaps the bank hopes to capitalise on customer's ignorance, which is make new rules, don;t let customers know about them and f**k them so hard with fees and fines that they can spend the next few months and days shuttling between bank, office/business and home just to get answers. Amused as HDFC might be about this whole circus, customers like myself are full of rage because we don;t have time to run around and ask questions much less have the time or money to seek legal recourse.

Then there is this sweet talking b*tch at the front desk who smirks whenever I enter the bank premises, as if to gracefully welcome my getting effed in the a** by her bank so her HDFC bank could rape me more with these unknown fees that they cook up every other day or hour.

HDFC shouldn't be called a “Housing Development Finance Corporation” but rather a “Heaven to Dupe and F**k the Customer”

Thumbs down www.in.com removed my data from my email account without my knowledge!!

I have email account with IN Offers E Mail, News, Music, Videos, Games, Books , Shopping, Search Online "Get IN.com" and this website provides free data storage of 10GB with their feature InDrive.

I had stored lots of important data in this InDrive, But today to my utter shock I don't find my files in it!!!

Everyweek I log into this account, I relied on this website so much that I depsosited all my personal info in this InDrive.

I WANT AN ANSWER FROM WWW.IN.COM...I WANT MY DATA BACK!!

Thumbs down Bank negligence causing customer embarrasment

I have recently joinned a new company for which I was made to compulsorily open the account with your bank. I had provided all the relevant details as on 9 september 2010.After processing the documents as on 23 sep 2010 they observed that the photocopy of PAN card was not proper as the top most right corner India was not picked up. So I had to provide them a fresh photocopy. Now again the customer representative and (IT PARK Bangalore Branch) bank guys sleeps for another quarter (9 Sept to 28 sep) and they suddenly arise saying your photo is not clear in the PAN card. I wanted to ask them "I have bank accounts, demat account, credit card, mutual fund, insurance all had been processed through the same PAN card. No one had a problem with the photograph and is it not my portfolio photograph for which they need to send it to the bride place" Then they had called me to sign a PAN card photocopy which I did so that they could compare the photograph and myself. The customer represantative was satisfied.
Now at the end of the month I received my salary. When I checked my netbanking account the amount gets reflected.I went to some resturant to have something. After the food I gave my card to swipe then the person at the billing counter says that your card doesnot work, what an embarrasment to me being a new customer of your bank. I knew that I had balance in my account I could not figure out why it is not working.The entire event happened on 2nd October (saturday) next I lodge a complain but they cannot resolve as the next day being sunday. And I was made aware that the card was not activated because of documentation problem.
"WHAT IS THIS PROBLEM WITH IT PARK BRANCH - WHICH YOU WERE NOT ABLE TO RESOLVE FROM 9 SEPT TO 30 SEP YOU WANTED ME TO SUFFER AFTER THE SALARY IS PROCESSED"

Today one agent came to my house and verbally abused and threatened me for collection of credit card payment for my late father who passed away on 14th Jan 2010, HDFC Bank credit card account(5289451000307195) . Shame on HDFC for such underhanded practices! Such agents have come many times and have been repeatedly informed about the demise but everytime a new agent comes who is unaware of the demise. HOW POOR IS YOUR SYSTEM? AND SHAME ON YOU FOR HIRING ROWDIES WHO THREATEN YOUNG GIRLS LIKE ME AND DEMAND PAYMENTS! He said HDFC has not been informed about the demise but i have the following mail proofs that HDFC has been informed many times over phone mails and when agents came physically.
NEXT TIME AN AGENT COMES AND VERBALLY ABUSES A YOUNG GIRL LIKE ME AND THREATENS ME AGAIN I WILL FILE A POLICE CASE AGAINST YOU.
HDFC SHOULD REALLY BE ASHAMED FOR SUCH SINFUL TREATMENT WITH THEIR LATE CUSTOMER'S BEREAVED DAUGHTER. I SPIT ON YOUR BANK! HDFC A DISGRACE TO THE COUNTRY!
I never said i will not make the necessary payment i always have said that i will pay only if i am liable to pay according to the law, WHICH AS I HAVE CONFIRMED I AM NOT LIABLE TO PAY. SO RETURN MY 4000 WHICH YOUR AGENT HAD FOOLED ME AND TAKEN!

1)i am also pasting the mails where i have communicated with HDFC bank so many times in the past. Since i have proof i can use it in the court against you.
And i know since HDFC will next suspect that i have only typed these mails i will forward these mails also to HDFC.
2) Also according to RBI law i am not supposed to pay anything for my late father's credit card bill which i have alredy mentioned in my old mails to HDFC:

INSPITE OF THE BELOW MAILS TILL NOW NO ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN BY HDFC!

i have confirmed today through HDFC bank representatives and also confirmed the laws laid by RBI regarding credit card outstanding payment by the deceased customer's family and found out that this is the law laid by RBI:
(v) Insurance cover for card outstandings in case of death of card holder
The Working Group discussed the difficulties faced by family / relatives of the card holder in case of death of the card holder who left behind card outstandings. The family/ relatives of the deceased card holder in addition to coping up with their bereavement had to arrange to clear the dues of the deceased card holder.

Legally HDFC is supposed to have taken care of all such credit card payments of the deceased customers through insurance which is the responsibility of HDFC. I think the insurance limit for a credit card payment in the case of HDFC accounts is 1.5 lakhs to 2 Lakhs. Please check you facts before illegally misleading your customers.
SHAME ON HDFC FOR NOT FOLLOWING THE NORMS LAID BY RBI. DISGUSTING!

So since HDFC has really irritated me a lot with so many calls and executives comin to my house at 7am in the morning and disturbing me i am going to sue HDFC for :
1)Misleading and harrassing me and my brother by constantly calling.
2) For fooling us and collecting Rs. 4000. So if i dont get a reply to this mail ASAP and a refund of my Rs.4000 then please get your lawyers ready.

Default HDFC credit card money back issue

i have done excess money transfer to my hdfccredit card account on 30th sep,they have told me to wait for 2 days so that the transcation gets displayedafter 2 days i have call and they have also taken my request and told me to wait for 7 working days,then again i call after 7 days they told that there was some error so they could not take request.
again i had to give request they again told me to wait for 7 more day..
this scenario ciontued later they have told that they cannot transfer the balance amoun

this scenario ciontued later they have told that they cannot transfer the balance amount of 8000 till i pay for the due of 1077 which is already paid from my side as excess anoumt.
again they told it will take 4 days but when i called again they are telling it willtake 7 more day.
my compaijnt no is 10287878619 taken by Praveena, Manager name is Manjunatha.
10298818891 compaint registered by Salma.]I ahve been using this since 3 years did not get issue like this however this is the first time i am facing this hdfc credit card executives are not solving it not prority is given to my issue.

With reference to TTU00121726102010. i have email tohowever i did not get any call from ur side.
I have called the Bankbu they are telling me to wait for 7 to 10 working days to get thay amount refected in my account.
Do u think i need to wait like this...
TRhis is ur responsibilty to call up to ur customer to know their issue.
else giving email and to tell to contact is not good
i am going to discont the connection.
pls respond as soon as possible.

Credit card application rejection (no. 100827112524180W1) - ref your letter 2010-11-08 18:32:29.0
but inform you that I have already received HDFC Platinum credit card 4617862000197582 but in your above referred letter you have rejected my credit card application. I hereby request you that kindly go through your procedure and norms for issuing credit card policy.

Your one side rejecting credit card application and the other side issuing credit card for the same person.

My name is Abhay Shrivastav.Previous Six year back I purchased the TVC bike from TVS agency at mandi Gobiondharh. That time i plan the HDFC auto loan in this regard i signed all the documents. But next day my plan was changed and i bought the bike in cash. In few month back i saw my bikes R.C there next page of auto loan there hdfc bank name mentioned. in this regard i contact with our mandi gobindgarh branch. they said i have to contact with ludhiana hdfc bank branch but i don`t know which is the auto loan branch.i called many branch at ludhiana but mostly number is not activate or changed. I called mall road branch they give me a ludhiana customer care no.0161-5088647 but this number is active. My complaint is how hdfc bank will give me NOC of my bike and which branch of ludhiana city.
