Hi, I am sk, I have taken personal loan from kotak mahindra bank in march 2007 and have to pay emi for 48 months. I forgot emi months and asked kotak customer care to send me the statement in the month of march 2010(paid 36 months without any break), there is no response from their end n i sent mail to them stating them that i will stop the ecs payment through mail and stopped the payment.They sent me mail stating its only 36 months and again in june some other person has came stating loan is for 48 months. I agreed after seeing the documents and said will pay one month emi on june 25th through cheque.
Due to some work i called them on 24th june and informed to present a PDC cheque which i have given to them, they said they will check the same and get back to me 24th june evening but they didnt called me.
Today morning the field executive from kotak has called me and asked me for payment. i said him to check with his customer care as i informed them about pdc cheque and asked him to revert back after confirmation from them. He didnt tried to listen me and simply said me ' you guys taken loan and are not paying'' said in rude way and started arguing with me. I simply disconnect the call and informed to manager of the brach aout the issue. he also started supporting his executive and not listened me. i already paid the amount today through my relatives.
I just want to know, whether i can file a case against the bank for the rude behaviour as it should not happen with any one.
