I, Mrs.Nagalakshmi Sankar, holder of Savings Bank Account in State Bank of India, National Institute of Health & Family Welfare Branch.
On 07/05/10 (Friday) I deposited my salary cheque for Rs.11,046/- by 3.30pm, expecting my home loan cheque dated 10/05/10 (Monday) , for Rs.8,365/-will be cleared without any problem. But due to some system failure on 08/05/10 (Saturday) the bank authorities didn't credit my salary to my account and also returned my home loan cheque on Monday in addition charged Rs.75/- as cheque returning charges.
For the negligence of work by my banker I am punished by loss of Rs.309/- (Rs.75/- cheque returning charges and Rs.234/- as over due charges by my home loan provider, IDBI, Bank).
On 10/05/10 itself I emailed complaint to SBI and they forwarded the same to Regional Incharge, SBI aand also to my bank on 13/05/10. The Regional Incharge once again forwarded the mail to my branch to take necessary action if the customer is correct.
I sent reminders to sort out this problem once again on 17/05/10 and 24/05/10 to the Regional Incharge, SBI and they forwarded my mail to my home branch manager (NIHFW) to revert the charges if the customer is correct.
Till today no action has been taken by Bank Mangaer, NIHFW Branch.
So, as I informed to the SBI, Regional Incharge I am submitting my complaint against SBI to revert the charges as well as to compensate for my mental agony and bad name created by SBI by dishonoring the Home Loan cheque.
