I HAVE PURCHASED PETROL ON 10-9-2011 Rs. 10000/- THROUGH MY DEBIT CARD (MASTER CARD) ISSUED BY BANK. THE BANK HAS CHARGED Rs. 250/- AS TRANSACTION CHARGES ON 23-9-2011. THE CHARGES DEBITED BY BANK IS UNJUSTIFIED AND ARE ON VERY HIGH SIDE. I APPROACHED MY BANK BUT THEY FAILED TO SATISFY ME AND I POSTED A COMPLAINT TO BANK ONLINE 25-9-2011 IN RETURN THEY REPLIED THAT " As per the policy guidelines of VISA / MASTER Cards, there will Ser Charge on the purchase of Fuel and Railway Tickets. These are not the Charges levied by our Bank.".
IT IS NOT JUSTIFIED ON THE PART OF BANK OR MASTER CARDS TO CHARGE SUCH HEAVY AMOUNTS FROM THE CUSTOMERS TO USE THEIR CARD FOR PAYMENT FROM THIER SAVING BANK ACCOUNT.
