I opted for ECS debit from my ICICI Bank account for my home Electricity bill and submitted the necessary forms duly signed and accepted for my consumer numbers EH 2316 & EH2327 at the C2 sub division Malleswaram BESCOM centre on Dec 10, 2009.
However, no debit has taken place from my Bank account. About 2 days ago, the BESCOM office has called me and informed that they are going to disconnect the connections unless I pay the amount immediately, which I did.
I have been checking the Bank regularly and they inform me that they have not received ant debit advice so far. However, BESCOM confirms that they have sent the debit intimation every month.
I do not know who is the culprit? Is it the BESCOM corporate office or RBI ECS unit or ICICI bank or the Branch
I ended up paying Interest for the callous action of the perons involved.
I request explanation and remedy from the concerned through this forum.
