I had deposited cash personally at the HDFC Sec 26 branch in NOIDA - then I saw a charge of 111Rs for cash deposit levied by the bank for third party cash deposit in my account. I protested - then the charge was reversed - but it is a hassle and easy rip off by the bank. It has happened to me previousy also at the HDFC bank. This is a sure way to defraud customers - if the customer does not check account thoroghly.
