HDFC bank has recently charged an amount of rs 826 and718 on the 17/11/2011 from my acct no.04111050134681. When I went to the bank they informed me that its because of low balance below rs 10,000. I was never informed about this. I had a Salary acct with my previous company. and salary acct was Idle. The phone banker says that my salary acct was changed to savings acct and because of low balance the amt has been deducted. The bank did not even bother to inform me about this. They neither informed me before deducting the amount. Its is really pathetic for a well reputed bank to behave like this.

In the event of no salary credits in the Salary Account for any continuous three months, the Bank reserves the right to change the status of Salary Account to Savings Regular Account without any intimation to the account holder and the Terms & Conditions as applicable to the HDFC Bank Savings Regular Account shall apply to this account from the date of change of status.
