My Account number is 00031050379588, which was opened as Salary a/c however I continued the same bank account and maintained the minimum balance in the account.

To my surprise, the bank has started to charge my account every now on account of AQB SER CHGS INC ST & CESS and other charges since April 2011. When I called up the customer support, as per them the amount deducted is because of non-maintenance of the account. Is it not the responsibility of the bank to let the customer know about any change in the rules of the bank? Why the bank suddenly started debited my account for the year 2010 that too in April 2011, when minimum balance of Rs 10000 was maintained in the account.

The statement of my account from April 2011 - Jan 2012, clearly shows the balance was Rs 10000 as on 6 April 2011, and the bank deducted Rs 2479 for no reason. This was not the end, My account was further charged on 15 June 2011 for PHBK CHGS, god knows what is it? Till now, my account has been charged a total of Rs. 5,181.54.

Due to all the deductions, I have now withdrawn all my money from the account after these rubbish deductions.

I am sure these deductions were made mistakenly and the bank MUST refund Rs. 5,181.54 ASAP, else I will have have no choice but to close the account.

I hope the bank will not charge me any further until I hear from bank.

I am not able to visit the bank branch as I am most of the time on official visits.
