    Thumbs down hdfc bank debited amount without intimation

    I've a regular savings account with HDFC Bank since 2004. And i always knew that i'm supposed to maintain a quarterly balance of 5000/-. But the bank has deducted Rs. 827.25 from my account with Narration "AQB SER CHGS INC ST & CESS APR-JUN2010" in month of july 2010. This is ridiculous from banks part that they are deducting such a big amount from their customer's account without any prior intimation.

    I see many such complaints here on portal which suggests and proves that the Bank is doing fraud with many customers. Please look into this and take strict against it.

    I hope my complaint would be solicited and i'll get justice and my money. I don't want to keep any kind of relation with such a bank, I'll get my account closed. They just want to earn money, customer means nothing to them. I'm dejected!!

    Dear Ms Gupta,

    Effective April 1, 2010, the minimum balance requirement for all regular savings accounts in urban areas was revised to Rs. 10,000. An intimation of this revision was also sent to all affected customers. If you would like further clarifications on this issue, we request you to write to the bank directly at talktous@hdfcbank.com with your account number and contact details, as well as the reference id TTU00073612072010. A bank representative shall contact you as soon as we receive this email.

    I've a regular savings account with HDFC Bank since February 2010. I dont use this account regularly. But the bank has deducted Rs. 827.25 from my account with Narration "AQB SER CHGS INC ST & CESS APR-JUN2010" on july 9, 2010. This is ridiculous from banks part that they are deducting such a big amount from their customer's account without any prior intimation.

    I see many such complaints on consumer complaints forum which suggests and proves that the Bank is doing fraud with many customers. Please look into this and take strict against it.

    An intimation of the applicable charges, for customers who failed to maintain an Average Quarterly Balance (AQB) in their account, was published in each customer’s account statement as well as on our website.     Default Hdfc AQB ser chg

    I've a regular savings account with HDFC Bank. and now its converted in Salary account.
    the bank has deducted Rs. 827.25 from my account with Narration "AQB SER CHGS INC ST & CESS JUL-SEP2010" on OCT 16, 2010 without any prior intimation.

    This is really ridiculous and irrihitating from banks part that they are deducting such a big amount from their customer's account without any prior intimation.

    Angry HDFC credit card issue charged for not used Trasactiom

    Hi Sir
    I have HDFC credit card ,from day i have got the HDFC credit i am having lot of problem with the same. I am trying to resolve one issue and there is another problem. I have never made any transaction in the month of October but they have sent a bill for 500 rs. The vendor who has misused my card details is grower flowers ,it is international vendor. I had made transaction with vendor in the month of September. I have to many executives from credit card call center,They want me send a dispute form for the same. I would be receiving the for each and every transaction i make on my card.Now even after speaking to them i am still getting bills with interest amount which i have clearly told i will not pay . In the place i had never excepted any insurance from these people but i was getting the bill for almost 3 to 7 months where after sending about many letters issue was resolved. Now again another dispute with this bank. I have the problem with saving bank as well.The branch where i have an account wants me to maintain the balance of 5000 but as my branch is far not able to do any transactions ,I started to access my account in the near by branch in rajajinagar. They are giving different details as need to maintain the balance of 10000. It is the same bank but a different branch. These people just want to rob customer's money . How can they maintain 10K balance if the earnings is not 10,000 every month.If this is because it is private bank ,There is no rules that they make any rules.They inform us send letters for each and every issue where hey take time of 45 days & we need to keep on checking wasting our time & other work just because it is our money which they taken . The issue with my savings banks account they are charging me 800 rs for not maintaining the balance. I would request you look into this on priority get this sorted at the earliest as i would not be able to keep on sending the complaint regarding the same issue .

    Default AQB Charges dedcuted from Bank

    Hi,

    Without prior information or permission,bank has deducted 827 rupees from my account. I feel dejected as i have maintained even laksh in my account. Bank should take this back else i am gonna end my relationship with HDFC.

    My customer id is - 5980042

    Their way looks like a cheat way.

    Default hdfc bank debited amount without intimation

    Hi,
    I am holding a HDFC bank A/c 01841610023130 from Jan '08. Few days back an amount of Rs.827 has been taken from my A/c with the remarks "AQB-SER-CHGS .....". When I called the bank they told me that my account has been converted in to a Savings A/c and that I need to maintain a minimum balance of Rs.10,000. When I asked the executive why this has not been intimated to me before taking the amount, I got the reply that these details are available in the booklet which was given when I had opened the bank A/c in 2008.

    My Question:
    1) Why can't the bank even intimate the customers before taking the amount?
    2) When this rule came to force in April 2010(as per details in this forum), how can the phone banker say that these details are available in booklet given in 2008 itself?

    I also got an answer that I may close the A/c!! Great customer service by HDFC.
