I'd like to submit a case against HDFC bank, Green Park Delhi branch. The branch manager is Deepak and as we are considred "HNI' we have a personal banker called Taruna and later Sunil.
The entire team has been fooling us since AUgust, from the time we moved to New Delhi.

1. My son turned 1 in August and my father wanted to gift him a Rs 1 lac in some investment that will mature in 18 yrs and give him some dividends. We called our RMs and discussed and they ( team of 3 people had come to our house) suggested we invest in the 'child mutual fund' with a single payment of 1 lac which will mature in 18 years. Later we realized they put our money in an insurance plan , and got letters saying that we need to pay 1 lac every year to the maturity of the fund , which is in 18 years. When confronting the team, we learnt that we had been duped. The blame game started in the team and it has now been 4 months of us fighting for this and still nothing has happened.

2. Similarly they got my husband to invest our hard earned money in another insurance plan with the same terms. Since we trusted our RM, they came and took our signatures and check for the investment. When we get the policy papers we read the fine print and realized that we need to pay that sum every year to HDFC. Now after 4 months they have promised to refund us the money, but nothing has come . The interest on the sum is also approx 10k , which they said they will not refund.

2. Our RM got us to use their HDFC credit card, which in the 1st month had some 'fincial charges' of rs 3000, on confrronting the team , they apologized and said they will reverse it. It has been 4 months since anything has happened about that. We have been following up with Taruna and they keep telling us " humne mail daal diya hai", is week ho gayega".

3. Even though we are HNIs , we don't have proper checkbooks or password, or statements comign to us.

Now the team is after us to buy real estate investment through them.

HDFC is HIGHLY unprofessional. They team is incompetent as much as they are insincere. I would never recommend anyone to bank with HDFC.
