I have never seen such gross violations of norms and regulations by any other bank.
1. First they placed a lien on my salary account without prior notice (the notice reached afetr the lien was placed).
2. They withdrew the entire balance without my consent or any advance notice.
3. The outstanding was against a credit card for which they were charging me about 4 times my principal amount.
4. Inspite of repeated reminders they did not send me any statements of my bill (I had shifted to a new city).
My HDFC customer id is 36244366
And please don't use that standard template for the response. I am in touch with Ms Archita Biswas (supposedly HDFC Bank's Legal Advisor) over phone and Rajeswari Jayasekar (AVP, Service Quality) over emails. But nothing has happened. On top of that I am left without cash, no receipts for the withdrawals by HDFC credit cards deptt,
I don't know exactly how many norms they have violated. And I want to sue them. But I don't know whether to take them to the criminal court for fraud, or to the banking ombudsman for procedural complaints.
